Summary

The article "How To Escape the Forest of Lost Souls" uses a metaphorical story to convey the importance of trusting one's intuition and maintaining a positive vibration to overcome negativity and solve problems.

Abstract

The narrative describes a knight's quest to rescue villagers from a mystical forest, symbolizing the struggle to escape negative thought patterns and societal pressures. The knight realizes that chasing after the villagers only leads them further astray, mirroring how pursuing solutions with the same mindset that created the problem is futile. The knight's compass represents inner guidance and intuition, which one must follow despite external doubts and fears. By creating a bonfire of love and positivity, the knight guides the lost villagers out of the forest, illustrating that raising one's vibration and being a beacon of light can help others find their way out of darkness. The article emphasizes the power of trusting one's internal compass and the impact of positive energy in overcoming challenges.

How To Escape the Forest of Lost Souls

It would behoove you to listen to these words of wisdom.

Hey, I’m going to share something with you that is going to profoundly change your life forever. Commonly you will hear that you cannot solve a problem with the same state of mind that caused the problem.

I want you to imagine you are knight (or warrior maiden) back in the days of yore. Many villagers have gone missing in a dangerous place appropriately called the Lost Forest. This forest borders the village and every time the villagers send someone in to retrieve a lost person, that would-be rescuer goes missing as well. One day, you are tasked to go into the forest to retrieve the lost villagers. The very next morning you make your way into the forest.

To your surprise, you have not even walked 300 feet into the forest and you see the villagers. They are only about 50 feet from you. You yell out to them, but they do not hear you. You hear them crying for help so you move towards them. However, by some weird magic, every time you move towards them, they move further into the forest. You think to yourself, “if I just go deeper into this place I can reach them.”

You keep this up for hours. They continue not to hear you, and the more you chase them, the more they move further away. Before you know it, you yourself are lost inside the forest. You decide this is too much and you are going to head back. Just as you are turning around, you hear the villagers scream out to you. They say, “don’t leave us…only a bad person would leave us…follow us….we know the way out….your compass lies to you…listen to us….”

And here is the critical moment at which most people fail. At this moment most people lose themselves to the voices and lose themselves in the forest.

But you are different, you are strong and centered.

You open up your compass and listen to your compass instead as it leads you out of the forest. As you walk away , the voices get worse, screaming and yelling, warning you that you are making a mistake and will regret following your own compass.

But you are immune to the fear, because you have learned to always trust your magical compass. You know it will always lead you out of any darkness.

Eventually you make it out of the forest and you have another idea. You gather the remaining villagers and together you create a huge bonfire next to the forest. You then instruct all the villagers to hold hands and sing in a loving manner. You can feel the love and the warmth and the positive energy around you. The Love among you all burns even greater than the fire.

Suddenly, as if by a miracle, one of the lost villagers emerges from out the forest and heads towards you. He joins in the singing…..then another……and a few hours later….yet another……and eventually all of the lost villagers emerge from the forest.

After the celebration of their return, everyone asks how they found their way out. All of the villagers say the same thing. They were lost in darkness, but heard singing and saw a bright light in the distance. The singing and the light led them out of the forest.

This is a metaphor for how to prevent yourself from being “lost” in negativity. You never solve a problem by lowering your vibration (entering the forest). If you end up in the forest, then you must use your intuition/heart (your compass) to find your way out. And you must ignore the negative voices (messages from society and fearful people) and trust that compass. The only way to help those lost in the forest is to light a fire and be of love (raising your own vibration), so they know the way out. It’s not your job to go into the forest looking for them.

Your light will allow others to find their way out of the forest. Your compass will allow you to find your own way out of the forest should you get lost. The solution to your problems is never going to come from the belief systems/vibrational states that caused the problems/fear.

I invite you to allow this metaphor to give you insight on how to better help yourself and others by being the light and not buying into the illusion of fear.
