What is Affiliate marketing?

I’d start from scratch, but you can skip that part if you already know…

So what is it?

It’s when a business pays you a commission or fee for helping them get new customers or sales for their business.

For example, a business that sells a weight loss program online for $100 may have an Affiliate program that pays 50% commission for each sale you help them generate.

As the Affiliate program pays 50% commission, and the product sells for $100, you would get paid $50 for each customer that you send to that business’s website.

All you need is to promote the link with some genuine content you create — on your website or social media.

It’s that easy.

It’s not spam or unwanted marketing because you are only giving people information about products and businesses that you know they will be interested in.

In fact, people are already searching for such advice.

Because of the abundance of offers online and the presence of fraudulent practices, people are actively looking for trustful advice on where to safely buy what they are looking for.

This is how the influencers were born!

Choose an Affiliate Program

I’d go with the top 3: Amazon, Clickbank, and Impact. Read more about my comparison in the article below. I talk about them in details, including how much you can earn.

The Three Steps to Start Earning

Step 1 — Identify an Interest

Use Google Trends to identify the trend of the interest towards a certain topic.

You can now use Google’s AI Gemini — it’s connected to all Google tools and can directly give you some high-potential keywords or questions people ask, that are related to a topic you choose.

Step 2 — Find a Product to Promote

Because it’s all about integrity and trust, make sure you choose a product you like, used, and loved. If it is on Amazon, choose a listing with a high rating and sales volume.

If you have an audience, then choose a product from your niche.

Then find an Affiliate product that you can promote to them.

Clickbank and Impact have a huge number of digital and physical products like ebooks, video courses, audio programs, software, membership sites and more that cover a plethora of topics. And as you already know, Amazon sells everything from books, to bikes, TV’s, phones, tablets, and ….. well just about everything.

So you can find a product to promote that will appeal to just about anyone.

Use Amazon Associates and Impact extensions for Chrome to be able to quickly generate a referral link while you are browsing the offers on Amazon or the websites of the brands on Impact.

Step 3 — Share Your Affiliate Link

The final and easiest step of all is just to share your Affiliate link.

Make a blog post on your website about the problem this product solves, NOT about the product itself!

Nobody wants to get sales offers, but almost everyone is searching an advice to solve a specific problem online!

Find a Facebook group with a similar interest you could create a new comment in the group with your link, or reply to some status updates or comments from other members in the group.

You can also share a link to your blog post (not the affiliate link itself — you might get banned), as a comment on a forum, write an article here on Medium, or YouTube video, on Quora, on Pinterest, etc. Make sure you choose content in the same topic/niche.

The GENERAL rule: The more links you share, the bigger the profits.

Create a blog in a specific niche and write about selected products you love. Do your SEO and utilize Social Media. The results will come!
