Are you thinking of quitting your job?

Are you stuck between quitting your job or continuing there?

Whatever your answer may be, know that there is always a solution to every problem.

Recently, I heard a phrase that suggested that everyone currently looks down on the nine-to-fivers. I have realized that it is for one reason only: the amount of monetary motivation paid to remote workers and other career workers is enormous.

With this in mind, if you are also thinking of quitting your job, I won’t be surprised.

Quitting your job is not an easy step to take. I am sure every sane human being knows that too, but with the rate at which remote workers make money. Or the rate at which other less stressful careers are monetarily motivated.

Quitting your job might be the next less stressful answer to this notion.

Hold on! Before you continue reading, this article is for those who are thinking of quitting their jobs, or those who have recently waved goodbye to their jobs, and have succumbed to the hope of better days ahead.

Indeed, there is a truth in every lie. It is the context in which you should also look at the other section of the labor force: the variant earners.

Yes! They make a lot of money from the comfort of their own homes and others with little or no effort, but their work is not as simple.

If you are just quitting your job or still thinking of doing it, don’t be sober just yet, because there are other ways to make money.

There are many other ways to earn

Yes! And a resounding yes again.

There are indeed many ways to make money, and you have probably seen it somewhere else, a blog post, an article, or a Chitty-Chat with your friends.

Most of them involve simple financial mathematics and regular business logic to establish, while others are pretty hard to carry out. All in all, it does interpret that there are many ways to make money asides from your current job.

Here are the ways to earn more after quitting your job.

1.Less-Doubt-More-Faith

Quit unreal, right? How could doubts be the very first way to earn more after quitting your job. Stay calm, and let me fill you in on this one.

With faith, you already have a 100% package of everything you need. — Fatunla Samuel

NB: This is not the first step for you if you are yet to decide about quitting your job. This step should be taken by every individual that has already broken the jinx of an unhealthy working environment.

If you have already dumped your job, don’t skip this step.

Please concur in your mind when I ask these questions

  • What makes Christians pray to God without even seeing him?
  • What makes soldiers go into a kill zone, despite knowing they get killed?

There is no need to wonder about the answer to these questions. The answer is simply faith.

If you have already quit your job, you might be scared at this point.

Should you get a new job?, or Should you do something else?

But regardless of the idea you choose. The one thing you should work on is to earn more than the former job. You can only achieve it by killing every pint of doubt in you and keeping a sharp mind towards earning more.

2.Save like a Hamster

Yes, you read right. Save like a rodent.

NB: This particular step is the first to take if you are just thinking about wanting out of your job.

Don’t save what is left after spending; instead, spend what is left after saving — Warren Buffet

It is funny how this makes me laugh even while writing this article. I know you must have read books that frown on excessive saving. Those articles will shine you into thinking investment is the right thing to do asides from saving.

I am sorry to disappoint you because I am in support of everything they said.

But, for someone like you who is about to quit his, or her job. Please don’t over-invest.

Glide more on saving for rainy days, which will mostly come after the first few weeks of leaving your job. Save just like a hamster, and you will have something to hold on to once you decide what to do once you quit.

3.Declare Your Wants

Well yes. Your wants were initially stated, you had the intention of quitting your job, or worse you have already quit your job. That is just a pre-medial want.

NB: This step applies to both parties. Either you already quit your job, or you are still contemplating if you should or not.

All you are is what you have declared to the universe. It only satisfies your desires — Fatunla Samuel

Shortly after you have cleared up the doubts in your mind or saved like a hamster, it is now time to decide exactly what you want to do. What business would you like to do?

Will you like to simply earn from your skills and be like the elites of today’s economy, freelancers?

  • Will you rather switch a flimsy idea into a business franchise like Colonel Sanders and become a CEO?
  • Will you brush up your resume, knot your tie, buckle your belt, and start searching for another constant 9–5 job?

The quicker you decide on one of them, the quicker your quest to earn more after quitting your job will be.

4.Invest in yourself

It is one step that, in my opinion, should have been a regular box checker in your daily life.

NB: This step is solely for everyone. Yes! Every single person, Either you just quit your job and have decided to start your own business. Or you are still thinking about it because you want to go into freelancing.

The secret to constant relevance is to invest in yourself — Fatunla Samuel.

Always invest in yourself. Especially, if you feel you want to go into freelancing after your decision time. Freelancing is the best job to do. But guess what? Your credentials as a freelancer are your added skills, certifications, conference attendance, and mentorship affiliations.

If you want to start freelancing after quitting your job, invest in yourself by taking several freelance courses, learning the basics, and evolving in it.

By doing this, you are already earning more than before. It is just a matter of time till you land a bogus freelance gig, or another fat-paying 9–5 job, as the case may be.

5.Invest in others

It cannot be stressed enough. It is no news that the people around you are worth the same as you are worth. One winner amongst many losers is still a loser. Learn to invest in the people around you.

NB: This is the final step to earning more after quitting your job, and it’s meant for everyone, but specifically for you. If you have decided to start your own business,

If you want to have a lasting influence on people, you must learn to invest in others — George Barna

If you don’t want disappointment to crash the ball in your new course (your business) after quitting your job. Then you have to be ready to invest in others. Your business or company will be as good as the human resources you have.

Be like the Undercover-Boss. Blend with your workers and know their weaknesses, then help them kill those weaknesses. Only then will you earn more from your decision to start a business after quitting your job.

Last words

Despite all the points I have laid down in this article, Don’t be scared about quitting your job. Don’t be scared about pushing your ideas and thoughts. You can never tell. You might just be the next big solution the world has been waiting for, you never know till you try.
