How to Decide Your Next Writing Project

And why it’s important.

Since publishing my first book called “Life: A Collection of Short Stories” two weeks ago, many people have asked the same question.

What’re you writing next?

I really don’t know how to answer this question, because honestly, I don’t know.

I have so many book ideas in the works, some farther along than others. I’m narrowing it down to what I want, but it’s still frustrating.

Even though I still haven’t decided, my methods for choosing the next project have helped me thus far. Hopefully, they can help you too.

Write From Your Passions

You probably have heard this a thousand times, and now you’ll hear it one more.

If you want to enjoy writing, you need to write from your passions.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a hobby, topic or anything else you’re into, but write about it! Write about your experience with it. Turn it into fiction. However, you go about it, writing from the heart is the best kind of writing there is!

Write What Keeps Bugging You

Is there a story idea that won’t leave your mind?

It happens to me all the time. Even after I write it down, it keeps coming back to me. That’s when I know I was meant to write it. So I do.

This has helped me quite a bit choosing the next book to write, but many ideas keep bugging me. So we will see how it goes.

Nevertheless, when you write what keeps bugging you, then you must write it. There’s no other way around it.

Closing Thoughts

Writing a first is fun, but writing the second book is even worse. Not the writing, but picking what it’s going to be.

One of these days I will decide what my next project will be, and it will be available to read worldwide before you know it.

To those of you with this same problem, I wish you all the best in your writing endeavors!

Happy writing!
