Before I begin, I have to admit that I’m not the best at coming up with the titles for my stories. I struggled so much with them at the start of my Medium journey and I have had some terrible ones that simply fell flat. And it’s not a problem that only I faced. In fact, so many writers have problems writing titles that there is even a market for online title generators.

Yet, titles are arguably the most important part of any article or blog post. Especially in this day and age where there is a glut of digital content constantly being created, a title does the all-important job of capturing a potential reader’s attention. They share valuable information about the article and entice the reader to click on it. Imagine spending hours and hours crafting the best article you have ever written only for no one to read it because the title was substandard. On the other hand, with a fabulous and eye-catching title, even an average article might be able to garner lots of attention. As such, crafting good titles should be on the top of every writer’s must learn skill sets.

So, how does one create eye-catching titles? Apart from applying the trial and error method, the best way to learn would be to look at successful posts.
