The written version
It’s vital to ensure every image in your article or story has a caption including its source, even if the source is yourself. To insert your own image use the camera tool to access the file from where you have saved it, i.e. your computer desktop.
Caption ideas for your own images:
- Screenshot by author
- Drawing by author
When you don’t want to use your own, the most convenient option is to insert an image from the free-use site Unsplash. Use the magnifying glass tool to search and select your choice. The caption will autofill with the appropriate source information, giving credit to the photographer or artist.
Additional acceptable sources include free-use image sites such as Pixabay, or Wikimedia. To use those, save the image to your device and add it with the camera tool. Make sure you type the source in the caption space to give appropriate credit to the creator.
