How to Check Your GPS on your Life
Check your emotions at the door and move

Check your emotions at the door or your emotions will check you in the room, and checking your emotions and feelings at the door will make for a better lived life.
Our feelings are our GPS system to help assist and navigate us through life in every way. This GPS is mainly comprised of your own feelings, it navigates in letting you know whether your are off track and headed toward disappointment and conflict, or perhaps on target, headed toward happiness or joy. Think of your feelings as performing like a barometer, exposing you to your internal weather, bad or good or oncoming changes.
Our feelings are generally positive until we find ourselves in an unwarranted situation where can be caught up in our thinking, taking things to seriously and to heart. When in a state of positiveness, our feelings will affirm that we are using our thinking to our advantage. No mental changes required in this state.
On the other hand, when life is other than pleasant where you may feel angry, hurt, resentful, depressed, stressed, frustrated, annoyed, rejected and this list can go on, your GPS System of feelings kicks in like a red flag warning us that we are off track and this is the time to pull back and ease up on our thinking because we have lost perspective. Think of your negative feelings in the same way you think of the warning lights on the dashboard of our car or a traffic light whereas it changes from green to yellow to red, alerting us to be cautious or danger lies ahead if actions not checked.
Negative feelings don’t require study or analyzing, but must be checked before derailing our lives. Note, analyzing negative feelings often causes more negative feelings to surface but when you negate, they are depleted and become powerless.
Whenever negative feelings occur again, rather than getting stuck in “analysis paralysis,” check why you are feeling the way you do, try to understand your feelings and guide your feelings back in the direction of contentment and peace. Never ignore your negative feelings, they will not go away but fester, instead try to recognize the reason you’re feeling, angry, stressed, depressed, hurt, disappointed, misunderstood, or whatever that has you taking life too seriously. Don’t waste time rolling up your sleeves to fight, step away, take a deep breath and relax. Life is a journey and not an emergency unless you choose to make it so.
Exercise and release your stress and get a new perspective on your GPS. Replace those bad feelings (bad hormones) with a happy feelings (good hormones), talk about a new lease on life, you got it!!
