‘How To Be Rich Gurus’ Are A Waste Of Time & Money
Don’t even bother joining their masterclasses.
“How I made $2000 in 6 months.” “Join my online course so that you can live a life just like me.” “Quit your 9–5 jobs so that you can earn your financial freedom.”
I’m sure some of you may have already heard these words in ads all over your social media platforms. They are trying to get you to sign up for their online course on how to be financially rich like them.
First, they convince you to join their free online course, then they made you pay $2000 or more for the next training course. Some of them even charge more to join their master classes, claiming that they can ‘mentor’ you to be like them.
They seem harmless at first glance and I nearly bought their programs until a brave Youtuber called Coffeezilla began exposing each and every guru that popped into my social media ad platforms.
They Repeat Words That Are Found For Free Online
Before founding the Youtuber who managed to expose these guru scammers, I was a bit skeptical about the price they are offering because it’s just too expensive for a course.
Then, when I saw a friend of mine, who bought one of their courses, it turns out that they are only speaking but no actions. Their words are mostly taken from any self-help books that cost far less than their overpriced courses.
“Don’t give up! Don’t quit!” “Work while everyone is sleeping.” “If you fail, get back up again and start over!”
We’ve all heard these, over and over, and over again. These were written in books and, apparently, repeated at the online courses. If courses are only repeating things that we could’ve gotten for free, that raises questions already.
Most Turned Out To Be Scammers
A few months ago, there has been recent news that these gurus have been sued for a variety of reasons, depending on which gurus. I was shocked to see that these claimed ‘rich experts’ were called out.
There are a number of reasons why these gurus were called out. I won’t name them, but you can check out Coffeezilla’s Youtube channel to inspect for yourself.
Coffeezilla managed to unravel a lot of these gurus. One guru was caught selling fake products, another was caught teaching things that didn’t work or stealing others’ works, selling false products, and so many more.
The most disturbing part is when they told us that they are willing to be our mentor….except that we must pay them for another thousand dollars.
As far as I know, mentors are willing to shape their students to their maximum without payment! Not asking someone to pay you to be their mentor!
Because of the baits that fake gurus did by selling a dream to someone, they made the darkest move ever….
Draining Your Wallet
From what I learned from these gurus, they made different programs that people find an affordable price to the overpriced. I nearly bought into their programs until I saw all these prices.
Each program convinces the person to buy their next program if they want to ‘learn’ even further.
The dark side of self-helps, which these gurus implement, is that they know motivational words and positivities are dopamines to our brains. This is why every time we read self-help books, we can’t help but to grab another self-helps to find out even more ‘wisdom’ even though most are just saying the same thing.
Using this tactic, the gurus did the same thing by creating programs after programs, making them even more expensive each time they purchase the next level classes.
The result? Well, I’ve seen many angry reviews that said that their courses didn’t work and they wasted thousands of dollars for nothing.
All those fancy stuff these gurus put in their ads? The sports cars, the luxurious watches, the suits, the houses? Well, they got the money from people buying their courses and most are rented just for the ad.
Conclusion
The truth is that there are many ways to be rich. If we take a look at the top billionaires around the world, they got rich from doing their own thing: building apps, invest stocks, manage a business, write an epic book, etc.
If you want to join a course, join the one that helps you to sharpen particular skills: Writing, video editing, programming, and so much more. And the best is that they don’t charge you thousands of dollars.
The only legit guru I would trust in ‘how to be rich’ is the Rich Dad, Robert Kiyosaki. His books didn’t cost a thousand dollars and he gave me the words that I needed to motivate myself onto the path of entrepreneurs.
But if you found another ad for “How to be rich like me”, don’t even bother. You are wasting your money on something that can be found in books that cost so much less than what they offer.
