How to Attract More into Your Life in Three Easy Steps
Abundance is closer than you think

Unexpected doors fly open, unexpected channels are free, and endless avalanches of abundance are poured out upon me, under grace in perfect ways. –Florence Scovel Shinn.
Today I share with you a story of one of my clients. I am a professional organizer, but I believe that there is more to organizing your home than boxes and labels. It is a journey of personal growth.
My client, who I will call Marcy, started last year in one of my week-long online retreats. Then, she went on to join my Decluttering Club. I have seen her grow so much during the past year. It is beautiful to see how much her life has changed during our time together.
Last Thursday, during our call, we celebrated her accomplishments. We were so emotional that tears flowed as we clapped and cheered together.
Marcy had something big to celebrate- she found a beautiful house to rent in a lovely area in her town. It was as if the home she found came directly from the pictures she had used to create her vision board months ago.
During her nearly year-long journey, she started out decluttering and moving through the steps with our group. We focused on what she wanted in her life and how taking care of her current apartment would take her there.
Her journey has delivered a new home, the type of job she wanted with caring co-workers, and an environment in which she is proud to raise her daughter.
I am so thrilled for her. I want to share with all of you how she came to this point in her journey.
Care Deeply About Something Small:
In our club, we start with small habits. Marcy decided on her dishes. In her apartment, she did not have a dishwasher. She worked to make sure that her pots, pans, and plates were clean each evening.
We celebrated her accomplishments on our calls. To all of us, it wasn’t something small. It was the seed of bigger dreams.
Once she started caring about her dishes, she moved on to making sure she put them away. From there, she wanted to keep her table clear. The momentum kept moving from there.
I love the lessons learned from starting small. When we put our energy into something every day and show up for ourselves, we reap the benefits of that action.
Now she has taken it upon herself to clean different areas of her home with great detail. All the while, she showed the universe she wants to take care of her living spaces.
Make a Commitment and Show Up:
Marcy has always been committed to our calls. She is there on time, every single call.
This commitment to her growth allowed her to take leaps of faith, like when she took the civil service exam.
After that exam, she participated in many interviews. Eventually, those lead to her current job. She loves the fact that she starts later so she can take her daughter to school. Her boss and co-workers are very kind to her and help her.
Because Marcy showed up to the calls, she could voice what she liked and did not like about her home, job, and situation.
That act of sorting through her life, just like decluttering, allowed her to figure out what she did want.
Process Your Emotions:
I believe that having a safe space to process your emotions is the key to moving forward. While it is paramount to keep a positive outlook, you also need to process anger or sadness when they come up.
In our small group, we created a cocoon that allowed Marcy to feel comfortable opening up if she had strong emotions to share.
When you allow your anger, fear, or sadness to be as they are, you allow more to flow into your life.
If you choose to hold those emotions down, you block the flow of more coming to you. Each experience is here to teach you a specific lesson. It may feel painful at the time, but it is part of your growth.
I appreciate Marcy being able to share her feelings with us in such an open manner. It is not easy to open up to a group, and her vulnerability is a gift.
The reason she has grown so much is that she allowed herself to feel.
That is a powerful lesson for all of us to learn. We do not gain anything by stuffing down our feelings. By letting them out into the open, we can breathe.
My prayer for you today is to learn from the footsteps of my lovely client. Start caring about something small, make a commitment to show up, and process your emotions.
