What I Learned From Ankur Warikoo’s Content Creation Journey
If you can provide value than no one can stop you from becoming a millionaire

Today is the 5th of January 2022, It’s been five days in the New Year and we are still not sure when this world will be free from the Corona Virus.
Every day we heard about a new mutant variant coming, cases are spiking again all over the world. In India especially there has been an over 50% cases spike in recent days.
But, don’t let the virus stand in between you and your goals. We all have set a new year’s resolution and we really want to fulfill our goals whether they are financial goals or health-related goals.
I have personally planned three to four things to achieve by the end of 6 months of this year and more few goals for the latter part of this year.
Here’s a straightforward plan that will surely help you to achieve your goals in a genuine manner.
Stop Visualizing Imaginary Shit
In the pandemic, Internet has helped us a lot in building many passive sources of income from the comfort of our home. Many people have pursued their passion and have been successful enough in building a business online this year despite being in a pandemic.
Ankur Warikoo, Founder of Nearbuy.com left his chair from the company have started content creation early this year. He has generated over $2 million by the end of 2021 with the help of social media like YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more.

In his thread, he mentioned one clear point which is the whole gist of this article is that during his journey Ankur never stopped putting out content. He spent 8 hours a day creating content and was publishing it consistently.
Here’s the growth chart of his youtube channel and you can clearly see his effort that manifested into these massive outcomes.

On one side there are people like Ankur and on the other side their people who just visualize achieving their goals by scrolling and imagining someone else’s success as their own.
Think. Observe your thoughts and analyze how you are spending your time, what actions you are taking to achieve your goals.
Social media is like a playground where you’ll find an array of stalls where people are ready to serve you good shit and bull shit. You are the one in charge who needs to take a step back think about whether is this really for you.
Just like Ankur Warikoo said, “DO EPIC SHIT”.
Throw your excuses in the trash can and just effin do it. I have decided to write an article every single day here on Medium and I am going to do that for the rest of the year for sure.

Treat Social Media as Tools
This is a serious issue as I have personally wasted my valuable hundreds of hours spending on social media mindlessly.
I am not talking about the habit of infinite scrolling, I am talking about the habit of consuming content for hours and hours. Personally, I am addicted to YouTube, If you look at my phone screen time the top app is youtube.
But slowly I am reducing that time also. I have a habit of consuming content for hours and hours and I never bothered to create something on my own.
Last year I wanted to start a video essay YouTube channel but I never did, instead, I had spend thousands of hours watching other video essays, how to create video essays, tools to create video essays, how to edit video, and many more.
Still, after watching all of these, I never tried to create a single video on my own despite having all the tools that are needed. Reason for not creating: none.
That is why you need to stop using social media as your escape portal and start using it as a tool to create an extra source of income.
Talking about myself, I have started posting content on social platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter especially in order to build a following. I do not have large followership right now, but consistency will lead me to my desired goal for sure in no time.
“Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.” — Dwayne Johnson
Nicolas Cole and Dickie Bush are the perfect examples, they have consistently published content on platforms like Twitter and Medium and built great followership.
In their recent book 22 Laws of Digital Writing, they have mentioned that in the world of algorithm-based platforms volume always wins. They mentioned the two strategies:
• Drive traffic to one asset(one article, one book, one product, etc.).
- Drive traffic by creating many assets (many articles, many books, many products, etc.).
The more content you produce, the more times you get to “play the game.”
And this theory is absolutely true. I have personally seen the results and recently an author on Medium named Jenn Leach
mentioned in her article how she earned over $12,000 from Medium in 2021.
She clearly stated that she wrote a ton of articles that skyrocketed her earnings. Here’s the proof

Key Points and Takeaways
The only way your goals is by doing action with patience and consistency. As they say that hard work beats talent. You can sit, imagine, visualize and get a dopamine hit, you have to put some effort in order to manifest it in reality.
Treat this article as an eye-opener and stop looking for ways to achieve your goals elsewhere on the internet. Write your goals down in a note and start doing it.
- Stop Imagining and Start Doing
- Consistency is your weapon, sharpen it.
- Treat social media as your tools.
- Start building followership by providing value.
- Remember in the digital world, volume always wins.
