How The “Sore” Subject of The Stimulus Check Is Effecting Us All.

Trump says, “ go”, Biden says, “go”, Pelosi says, “go”, McConnell says, “Whoa!”

They are messing with our minds and pocketbooks. I love it! A bunch of wealthy politicians playing with people’s lives. It is so comical and deadly.

They don’t know anything about being homeless, or being a single parent, or not having a job, not having food, or being parents of school-age children that have to be fed and clothed and not having any money for that, or about the effects of Covid-19 and death.

They also don’t have to worry about paying their utilities and rent or mortgages, so they don’t get cut off for non-payment or kicked out of their domiciles. What do they know about these things? If they do know, they are past that point in their lives, if they had any of those things happen to them in the first place. I highly doubt it.

Look at this website: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_members_of_the_United_States_Congress_by_wealth

It’s laughable! I had no idea until now how wealthy these people are. They all are worth millions. That just makes it worse; this puppeteering of our lives. McConnell is not even the richest, he is #17 out of 36. None of them are suffering. The stimulus is hitting roadblocks from the Republican representatives. They act as if it is “their” money to negotiate.

Trump and McConnell have blocked relief for six months as cases and deaths mount from Covid-19. You really want to know what their “end game” is. What are they thinking?

When the President-elect is sworn in most of the senior representatives that are Republicans will be gone, then the roadblocks will be gone.

There will probably not be a stimulus check before the end of the year. It won’t go through until after January 21 of next year. So don’t get your hopes up too soon. They have to toy around with it and squabble some more.

This “toying” is causing a lot of anxiety for the nation. I for one, can’t pay my utilities or buy much food. Not a good place to be in. One son that lives with me is getting his unemployment benefits but $223 a week which doesn’t go that far. The other son is working part-time and now part-time/part-time as his hours have been cut because of the lack of customers. He was bringing in $300 a week, now it is more like $150. They have repaired their car that has been sitting for quite some time, two years. Now that sucks up their funds as it is a necessity. Riding a bike to work in the rain is really tough and not a workable solution.

They usually buy food since my EBT was taken away. I am on Social Security and that covers the rent. We have no wiggle room for very much. The utilities are put on the back burner. My grown daughter has given me $350 a month this year so I can pay my personal bills, but that is going to stop as she has a new grand baby and you know what a new baby costs. Her daughter has had unemployment benefits cut as well as everyone else.

Maybe it is just an inconvenience for us, but it sure doesn’t feel like it. It mostly feels like no future. I am almost seventy and I want my younger family members to have something to look forward to. What is it going to be like for my great grandson needless to say my sons who are twenty-five with no future? He’ll be a one-year old in January and has a whole life ahead of him. right now life for him is laughing, giggling and learning.

I have friends that are doing worse than me. I wish every day that I could help them, but instead I pray for them and thank God for all I have and can do.

Thanksgiving and Christmas are going to be a joke. I never have anything extra for that. I’m doing my best writing about all this, but that never brings in much monetary value. I still am not sure why.

I don’t want to sound like a victim. That doesn’t help anyone. I am a pragmatic realist. Life right now is not great for most of us. I am not saying that a stimulus check is the be all, end all of this mess, but it would help.

Biden is at least willing to get the virus under control by all means possible, then the economy would grow again if people wouldn’t get sick. A vaccine is coming, but I hope it is safe. The FDA feels that more testing is needed.

I thought it odd the other day that “isn’t it interesting that after the elections were held there is suddenly a vaccine that is promising.” Hmmmmmm?

Is this another manipulation?
