How the Next 10 Years of Your Life Could Be so Crucial
Why some people succeed in achieving their life goals while others fail to do so?
Up to this very moment of time, I want you to stop and think for a second about your own life in the last ten years. How much progress have you made?
I mean where were you standing ten years ago? Where you are now? And where you could be in the next coming ten years starting from today?
These were questions I asked myself recently, which has opened a whole new world for me to explore and that is why I want to share it with you, my dear reader.
It doesn’t matter whether you are twenty or sixty years old now, what is important is to re-examine your life carefully and answer these questions to yourself honestly.
After that, I want you to make an assessment based on your own answers and decide for yourself whether you want to stay where you are right now or move ahead.
If you have not reached where you wanted to be or already reached but still want to go further then, please be my guest for the next five or so minutes.
Let us first start with why some people fail to reach their goals.
You see, in life, you are in a constant test, just like when you were at school.
The only difference is that in school tests were carried out in oral or written form, then you get marks on your paper sheet that was it, while in life you go through real tests in the form of trials and difficulties that would eventually decide towards which direction your life will head to backward or forward.
“No one is immune to failure, what sets successful people apart is their ability to utilize failure.” — Unknown
Many of us fail in these real-life tests and soon give up trying again. That is where the real problem lies.
Fail simple stands for “First Attempt In Learning”, so why would you give up in the first, second, or even third attempt for that matter.
Fulfilling your life potential deserves more attempts than the sheer number of attempts that can be executed.
You should always keep in mind that if you have come short or miserably failed in achieving your life goals in the last ten years, you should know by now that it does not in any way imply that you have failed altogether.
It simply indicates that you have learned a lot and gained so much wealth of experience that many will only crave to have it at their disposal.
“Failure made me realize that I am human and bound to make mistakes. Once you see that it is normal to fail you will dare to try new things and appreciate the surprises life has for you.” — Unknown
In other words, it means that never ever give up if you haven’t accomplished your life goals yet because you can start from a new page from today and plan wisely for the next ten years to achieve whatever you have desired to have or wanted to be in the past.
Now the successful part
“Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in day out.” — Unknown
If you have succeeded in achieving what you have planed ten years ago, I want to salute you for your outstanding achievement, because not many people can do what you have done.
However, that is not the end of the road for you either. It is an opportunity for you to build upon your past success to reach new heights that were only possible in your dreams for the next coming ten years.
I want you to forge a new challenge that would take you to the next level in the coming ten years because you are already a champion who knows and to win and succeed in life.
“Success is the product of daily habits, not once in a lifetime transformations.” — Atomic Habits
In the end
The human potential is so huge that the majority of us fail to realize until it’s too late. I want you to make use of your valuable time to achieve your life goals in the next ten years.
You can start by planing your goals by dividing it into two phases:
· Short term. This includes monthly, weekly, and daily goals. it is also the foundation of your long term goals because achieving them only would pave the way for you to continue otherwise there will be no more long term goals.
· Long term. This includes the yearly period, the five years period, and the final ten years plan that eventually takes you to your marked destination if you persist along the way.
I firmly believe anyone can plan and succeed in this life by developing the required discipline and putting all the efforts needed to achieve whatever goal is set.
“The path to success is not linear. But if you spend more of your time doing what matters and less of your time what doesn’t, you are on the right track.” — Unknown
Thank you for your precious time.
