How The Internet Changed The Way I See The World Now
“The Internet Is The Key That Can Open A Closed Mind!”

During Human History there were several Technological advances that has made Man advanced from cave dwellers to a more advanced society that has the ability to Read, Write and think logically.
Each Technological advancement has led the world to change as well as allow people to broaden their minds further as they are now being exposed to new ideas and opinions.
Still these Technological advances like the Pen, Printing Press, Radio and Television had a drawback in that it either was not a quick way to spread ideas or that it took a lot of money to invest in the Technology making only a few groups able to control the information you get to see.
This is true as it goes on in Radio and Television. These types of media offer control to a few people and Corporations and will only allow the people to see what that small group of people deemed worthy. It is also happening with print as a number of newspapers tend to only talk about one side of the story.
This has been happening for years and it continues to this day. They set what you watch and tell you only the news that benefit the small group of people.
It wasn’t till a several years ago when the latest Technical advance hit the streets and man did it cause a commotion! That Technical advance was the “Internet”! I remember when it first came out and how people at first never took it seriously but there were a few that did and those who saw an opportunity to share information about anything and everything jumped right in and made it happen.
The Internet back then was considered something that Geeks used but as time passed more and more people began using it. I know for me I immediately got my AOL CD and my 56k modem and got myself online!
The hissing and belching sounds the modem made would get me excited every time I used it. And when the AOL screen came up and said “Welcome! You’ve Got Mail!” I knew that I was going to get hooked on this thing big time!
Back then I was a Gung Ho chap always rooting for our team as I was only exposed to only one side of the story. I always would ask myself why were others so against Democracy and Freedom among other things never really knowing why I just thought that we did no wrong. Questions would pop in my head while in school and asking the Teacher why this happened this way or another. I would just get blank stares or given the usual “Stick to the book” answer.
I knew there was so much more out there that I did not know about the world at that time that I could find, that is until the Internet came out and helped me find the answers to my questions as well as learning stuff that I had no clue about!
My days of raiding my parents book collection of current events were over once I was able to figure out the Internet for myself. I remember the first question I put in the search bar and it was “Who Is God?” and from there I began my exposure to the world.
As time wore on I noticed the way my mind worked was no longer the same anymore. Before I thought the world was Black and White but in reality its much more complicated than that. Which bothered me because now I know why certain world problems could not be solved so easily and quickly. But at the same time I felt a sense of relief because now i knew that I was not going crazy asking myself questions about certain events, cultures and peoples.
The Internet shattered my previous views that I had of the world like a rock through glass. Now I found myself trying to reset my views of the world and the people in it. Before I would finger point at the other group and shout “Its Their Fault! Lets Bomb them!” to a more civilized and analytical approach and ask “Why did they do this?”. I learn to seek the whole story and not bits and pieces of it before I make my decision.
The Internet has given me a voice as I now have my own blog to write about the things that bother me or to teach about things that may be of interest to me as well as to you.
The Internet has become the most powerful tool the common man can have as it has the propensity to change his or her views about the world, Become their own voice and share their Ideas and opinions with other people. Why do you think that the Gov wants to control the internet badly? Its because they know the power of information! They know that with enough information the masses will recognize when they are being duped or conned.
I know for me I have begun to see the Puppeteer in the back pulling the strings while everyone follows in line. Its weird once you begin to see the Bullshit for what it really is. Some people call me a cynical person for my beliefs but I call it when I see it! In way it does sadden me that we all live in a world of fantasy and not reality. Its also a shame that there are many people who are just happy living a fantasy!
Although the Internet is a powerful tool only a few people understand the immense power of it. To have access to millions and millions of pieces of information available to you at any time you need it is something that worries the powers that be.
Since I have been using the Internet I have learned to understand many things like Economics, How the monetary system works, How Governments works and the negative things they have done, Learn to better myself by reading the self improvement blogs and learning new skills I can use in the real world.
And as time continues to pass I still learn more and more about the world around me. This was all possible because of the Internet as it helped changed my views to a more open rather than closed mentality. Unfortunately I’am only one of a possibly small group of people who use the Internet more for information and learning purposes rather than using it as a time killer.
Every day I learn something new! It keeps the mind alert and happy rather than stagnant and sad.
Use the Internet for what it should be used! As a powerful tool for the common man!
