How Should We Capture the Fleeting Moments of Our Life?

Keeping a record of our valuable moments

I describe these moments as fleeting because they come and go so fast. Have you ever had a spontaneous moment with your loved ones over a meal or a holiday? Now that it is just a memory, what have you done to help you reminisce about the event?

I had, and I wish those moments would go on and on. You know that you cannot stop those precious moments but can do something creatively.

1. Take a photo or video

Taking a photo or video captures those moments that you treasure. When you re-visit those photos or videos, it is like happening all in front of you.

2. Write in a journal

Some of us have a habit of writing in a journal. Recording the events and the feelings you had in a journal would probably allow you to re-visit those emotions once more.

3. Keep a memento for the occasion

Maybe you went on a holiday with your loved ones and bought a souvenir from a shop you all enjoyed together. Seeing and touching the item will bring back some of the memories of your visit.

4. Sketch a picture of the place

Sketching may not apply to everyone except if you have the gift of drawing. Some people I know can draw the scene into a sketchpad, which becomes a memory to keep in the future.

5. Record your voice

It may not be a usual way of recording the event, but you can also record your expressions in a voice recording. When you add your voice, you can listen to your words, just like a recording of the waves on a beach.

Whatever it takes, it is valuable to record the moments of your life in some record. You may or may not have the time to re-visit them in future, but if you can ever do so, you will appreciate your extra efforts made.
