How Personal Development Quotes Changed My Life

The personal development industry is huge. Like ten billion dollars in 2016 huge. I doubt there is a person out there who hasn’t heard of it. The importance of personal development can’t be stressed enough in today’s stressful and chaotic world. It is what separates the men from the boys in the business world. (And the women from the girls) People who actively work towards their own personal development will achieve more success and go much further in life than those who choose to stay stuck where they are.

It is what separates the men from the boys in the business world.

When I started my journey in 2014, I was seriously frazzled and just tired of life in general. Nothing seemed to be going the way that I thought that it should. I felt like the world owed me something, but I had no way to collect. There wasn’t an element of my life that wasn’t being affected by my miserable mindset, right down to my marriage and parenting. I knew something had to change if I was ever going to truly enjoy life again and give my children the life they deserved.

I was seriously frazzled and just tired of life in general.

I didn’t have much money to hire coaches or go out and buy books, so I had to get creative and use all the free resources I could find. I watched YouTube videos, joined Facebook groups and read copious amounts of articles on the internet.

Quotes played a really big part in my journey. When I first started to journal, I would start by choosing one quote for the day and then writing about what it meant to me, any thoughts or emotions that it evoked and how I felt that it could affect change in my life. I did this every morning for 30 days, and let me tell you this, I felt like an entirely different person after just one month of “quote journaling”.

Quotes played a really big part in my journey.

Give it a try for even just a week and see how you feel! The entries don’t need to be long ones, just choose a quote and spend ten minutes or so writing. I suggest doing it first thing in the morning so you can start your day off positively and keep those wonderfully creative juices flowing right through your entire day.
