How New Writers SHOULD Build Momentum For Their Work
Many fall for a trap that can forever keep them small.
Here is how to avoid the classic trap and get yourself noticed.
Everybody tells them:
- “Just get good at writing”
And they learn how to write. They feel good about themselves. But views still don’t come. Therefore, they give up.
- “Just pick one niche and research more”
Again, they give it their all. But still, nothing happens. The comments are empty, views are close to 0. Therefore, they give up.
- “Just write more, and stay consistent. They can’t ignore you forever, the algorithm is at fault”
They give it their last hail Mary. All in, they write not 1, not 2, BUT 3 whole articles every day. And they stay consistent. And they put in the work, for 3 months. But still, crickets.
Therefore, writing online is a scam.
People can’t make an income doing what they love.
And everybody else who succeded just got lucky.
It’s a sad reality
It’s sad that no matter how hard you try, sometimes you just can’t push through.
Have you ever known that feeling? That feeling of not being enough.
Maybe it was that one time when you were trying to open a jar of picked and it wouldn’t budge.
Or maybe that one time when you were trying to open a door and it just won’t open.
I know that feeling.
I get that a lot. It’s not a pleasant state of mind to have.
But…
I think I’ve got the solution
I’ve come to a great realization.
So after talking to other creators, the answer now seems so obvious.
Yet, I couldn’t think of it at first. Wanna hear it?
Force yourself to be heard
That’s right.
When nothing else works.
You need to force it. And I DON’T mean posting more.
That is the biggest mistake I made.
I tried posting more in the hopes of getting more people to see my writing. It didn’t work.
It’s where you post, not how much.
And it’s not where you post in terms of platforms. No, no, no.
It’s the type of posts you make.
You need to understand something.
- When big creators post. Their comments are full.
- When big publications post. Their engagement skyrockets.
If traffic exists, there is an opportunity to position yourself in between.
I’m going to give you the simple answer here.
It’s posting VALUABLE comments on big creators.
And the sooner you post, the better.
Why?
When your organic reach is low, borrow traffic
Nobody reads your work because your following isn’t big enough,
The platform doesn’t trust you.
People don’t know you.
You could disappear the next day and none of your readers would care.
So by posting valuable. And I can’t stress this enough.
VALUABLE content is what intrigues their (the big creator) followers.
It’s how you hook them.
It’s how you process them into your funnel.
Your funnel should look something like this:
- Big creator posts.
- You analyze their content, highlight something you see as valuable, and add your take on it in more than 100/200 words.
- People who flock to the big creator's post see your content
- The first thing some of them are gonna do is check out your profile. That’s why your bio matters SO so much.
- Some of them will click on your profile. The second most important thing that matters is your pinned post.
- If your pin post is valuable (Headline, hook, content) they will click on it.
- They will read it and eventually follow you because they liked your writing.
Now you have a function that you know is always gonna work.
The more you comment, the more followers you have.
As you implement this strategy more and more followers will come to you. You’ll notice a slight uptick in your views.
Eventually, you could abandon this strategy altogether because your organic reach will be strong enough to boost your story in the algorithm.
That’s the way I think it works.
Today is the 13th of December 2023.
I will have 500 followers by the end of the year. It’s a challenge.
I will start implementing this strategy and keep you guys updated.
