The author expresses pride in most of their creations, but also acknowledges that some stories have recently developed a controversial sense of humor or have been influenced by external factors, leading to reader dissatisfaction. This has caused the author to reevaluate the content, as they strive to maintain a balance between light-heartedness and sensitivity to serious topics. The author also apologizes for any misconceptions about their personality that may have arisen due to these rogue stories.

My Writing has Me on an Emotional Roller-Coaster

The process is not what it used to be.

The way I write my stories is fairly easy.

I concentrate and meditate until I come up with a title or a first-line or two.

Then I leave them alone.

These small entities then grow and add weight to themselves. They continue to develop on their own to a point where they can go to publication.

My help is just not needed unless something happens to one of the little guys trying to grow up. They have different maturation times. Obviously, the short stories graduate and move on long before the novels do.

Raising stories is often a challenge. Some do turn into bullies, and some get just plain mean. Sometimes discipline is needed to salvage an otherwise beautiful story.

For the most part, I feel a glow of happiness every time I wave goodbye to another successful story, and it is only a few that ever need correction.

Before.

These days, more are being influenced by society, hackers, or the media. Some seem to have developed an odd and robust sense of humor just not liked by all. Some have gotten past me without a levity test (and correction when needed.)

Some of these young stories have gone to places of which I am very fond.

I am embarrassed and mortified that some of these unwashed stories have aggravated a percentage of my readers who are always way too nice to say anything disapproving to me. I can still tell their distaste by their lack of usual support for my stories unless they include an emotional or psychological component.

Thank you for understanding that I am not the kind of person who finds humor in everything including serious topics. I am more sensitive than that.

I am ashamed that some of my rogue stories may have falsely presented me as being light-hearted.
