How my Content Sells for Itself 👨💻| Beginner Edition
Helping other Content Writers

The problem beginner writers often face is learning to write content that sells. It’s the ability to write content that attracts people without having to go through the effort of marketing it.
This is an easy step that beginners can learn from in order to get readership into your Medium so that you can potentially make money off of the Medium Partner Program.
I will be sharing the tips and tricks I use to get readers into my article. It will be a step-by-step guide so if you found the content useful, be sure to clap and comment down below so I know you like what I produce.
Create a Killer Title🔪
The first thing readers look at while scrolling through Medium is how catchy the title is. I spent at least 20 minutes picking the best title for my article, deciphering a hit-piece title that will surely reel them into your article.
A good software I use to make sure I write content that readers are looking out for is by using FreeHeaderAnalyse. It ranks your title from 0 to 100 based on readability, SEO, and sentiment.
Catchy Thumbnail Image

Whether you like it or not, thumbnail plays a pivotal role in reeling your audience in. The more ridiculous it looks, the better it is to capture attention. Here are what works in order to sell your content better:
- Set up the perfect thumbnail size
- Image Formats are JPG, GIF, or PNG
- The text included must pop out o that readers will read
- Try not to add more than 7 words
- Emoji works well to describe the current feeling (shocked, angry, amazed, etc)
Bite-size content
Maintaining the reader's attention is probably the toughest part writers are constantly trying their best to improve. And I am far from perfect as well.
To make sure my readers are getting value from my content. Here’s how I break them down:
- 1 paragraph must maintain 2~4 sentence max.
- Break down the paragraph if the sentences don’t pair well.
- Quotes are broken out by themselves to have more emphasis.
While there are many other advanced ways to create better readability in content. I believe this sentence breakdown would be easy for beginners to try out.
Added Bonus
If you would like your readers to keep coming back for more, spice things up!
You could write out a thought-provoking question to the readers to let them formulate their own judgment.
Additionally, you can request readers to comment on your article to create a conversation with them.
Summarizing
If you are looking to write quality articles for your readers, be sure to take the time and effort to draft the content, have a second opinion, and do a final check before sending it out.
