How Much YouTube Paid Me For 36K views
A Case study of a Youtube Channel & Video
Around 2 years back, I had started my first YouTube channel after being inspired by my very close friend. As you know, when you start something new, you have to face tremendous challenges and as time passes, you simply overcome that. Guys, this is going to be a complete case study where I will share my experience with some proof that will help you too.
Some Valuable Stats:
I don’t like to promote my own channel but to share proof you have to visit my channel to check the performance of the videos which I do. Before that, here are some of the stats which I think you should check.

Now, the question is “How much I earned from this video?”

As you can see, my earning is just $0.22 from YouTube AdSense.
How the hell does it happen?
How a video with 36.8K views and 164.8 hrs of watch time can give you much lower earnings?
Now another thing you must check and imagine is why this happened if the metrics are so healthy?
You can see that the maximum traffic which this video received is from the United States and European countries and if you know then AdSense pays a very CPC for these.
How actually it happen?
The primary reason was that my channel was not monetized at that time. It had got 1000+ subscribers but watch time was around 3500 hrs.
As you know that if you want your channel to be monetized then you have to follow the monetization policy and according to that, you must have 1000 subscribers and 4000 hrs. of watch time.
The video which I uploaded on my channel was reused content and was a copyright-free one too.
After receiving around 36K views, my channel got monetized with some other videos, and after that videos stopped receiving traffic the video.
Now, the biggest question is “How it gets so much traffic?”
The major source of the traffic to the video was from external sources. Just check and I’m sure you will be surprised. I’ll suggest you all use the same tricks if your videos are in English and not receiving enough traffic.
The major source of traffic which this video received was from Reddit. Especially if you have not worked on Reddit then must start a new Reddit id. Earn some karma by posting in r/aww, r/worldnews & others. Join subreddit r/videos & r/youtubehaiku. These two are the best subreddit to get enormous traffic to your site.
Do you know, after earning almost negligible numbers? I still made $1000+ income from this video.

As you can see, I have made negligible income from the YouTube AdSense program. If my channel was monetized then these numbers would be much higher with better numbers. Combining my affiliate and sponsorship it would have been more than $1000+.
