How Much I’ve Earned Thus Far on Medium Since My First Day

It’s a crazy amount for a first-year

I didn’t think I would make any money on Medium.

I take that back. I thought I would earn some money on the platform, but not enough to quit my day job. That statement still stands true today.

I do pretty well on Medium for my standards. I know I can do better too. So far, I’ve done great!

Fantastic even.

Take a look.

Since joining the platform in February 2021, I was pretty proud of my first month. I didn’t think I would earn anywhere near $3.

But I did.

I kept writing and writing, figuring out the ways of Medium. And I did.

My month’s earnings kept growing and growing by staying dedicated and consistent with my work. Then something amazing happened.

November was my best month thus far with $87.99. How cool is that?

It’s not part of the $100/month club but I’m well on my way. The same goes for December.

As of this writing, my earnings look like this:

A grand total of $74.01.

That’s still insane to me.

Since I began on Medium, this brings the grand total to $328.26.

To me, that’s pretty darn good.

Sure, part of that money includes $6.29 from referred members. That’s passive income of that amount each month before I even write a single word.

So long as they stay Medium members of the course.

But all and all, I’ve earned a little over $300 since I’ve been on Medium. It’s not a great amount like other writers, but it’s good money.

It’s certainly money I didn’t have before.

What Are My Medium Money Goals?

I don’t plan on quitting Medium anytime soon.

No way.

But I have been thinking about goals on the platform, many of which have to do with money.

Obviously, I’m like many of you who want to join the coveted $100/month club. I think I can do that too.

But after that, what’s next?

Well, actually, I love Medium so much so that I hope to continue writing on the platform for as long as I can. Or as long as I can earn $1,000/month.

It’s not like it’s outrages. Writers on here do it all the time. I think I can too.

Think about it.

Once we reach this level in a whole calendar year, that’s earning $12,000 each year.

So long as Medium is your side hustle.

That much extra money could be used for vacations or bills or even investing. And we earned that money because we stuck with it.

I believe we all can earn that kind of money on Medium. It’ll be a rough road ahead, but we’ve made it this far haven’t we?

Why give up now?

Closing Thoughts

I know my Medium money goals. They also go along with these too.

  • Gaining 100 email subscribers.
  • Gaining at least 10 referred members.
  • Reaching 10,000 followers.

I know I can do it if I continue writing and using this platform. It’s been good to me so far and I have no doubt it will continue to do so.

I’m proud of the money I’ve earned on this platform so far. I know it will only grow from here.

Success on Medium happened to me and I know it will happen for you too.

But the real question remains for all of you.
