How Much I Earned on Medium in Jan 2022
After six months, my earnings started…
After joining Medium.com in the year July 20, 2020, I didn’t know that I have an opportunity through which I can make some money. I was simply using this platform to express my thoughts and improve my writing skills as I am not from this writing industry.
After a year and so, I saw a post on ‘My earning this month’ on illumination. I was shocked and I simple whispered ‘From here you can make money. I was already having around 100+ followers and more than 15+ stories, I applied for Medium Partner Program. I got easily enrolled on it.
I was having simply zero ideas on how this platform offers revenue on articles so, I simply started content as I get time during weekends and use to publish them.
Due to this, my earnings were negligible with some scents or a dollar max. I went through so many articles and I understood the practice we need to do to get your content to yield some revenue. Before continuing, I will like to disclose my earnings. This number is not at all big but it is big for me as this is going to be a big motivation for me.

During the journey of Medium, I have learned a lot and even learned on daily basis by reading the content of all dear friends who are publishing masterpieces on regular basis.
- Consistency is the Key — You have to be consistent on whatever business you are, whether you are an influencer, digital marketer, content writer or any other profession. You’ve to dedicate regular some hours to your busy schedule to deliver what is needed and regularly.
- Engage With Writers — There are two things you need to understand when you are on this platform. First, if you are still not a MEDIUM PAID MEMBER that cost only $5 then you’re missing something big. Sign Up now to access the world. Second, if you are not using paid subscription then you have to engage with authors and writers at regular intervals to get the ball rolling. Note — If you subscribe to a Medium paid membership using my referral link then a portion of your membership with no extra cost will be paid by Medium to me.
- Spend Time on Reading — It is important for you to read and study things going around you and your business. You’ve to stay updated with the latest trends, new facts and figures, changes etc going around the category or niche you are dealing with. Medium & YouTube are the two best platforms for this. So, invest at least an hour to read things going around you.
- Be An Expert — This was the biggest issue with me. I use to produce content on whatever topic I loved too. I did this mistake on both the platforms YouTube & Medium. The outcome was, my audiences like subscribers and followers got distributed. Later on whatever content I use to publish, never use to work well. I understood this and started focusing on a niche ‘Earn Money Online / Work From Home Opportunities. The day I did this, my channels started gaining subscribers and followers who like to follow my content. So, before starting PLEASE PLEASE! choose a niche and then give a go-ahead.
My final thought:
It’s easy to GIVE UP from things if it didn't work for you or do not yield things on the positive side. The winners are those who always being consistent and stayed focused. Research, learn from mistakes and create masterpieces.
