In The Good Art
How Much Fortunate Does A Writer Need In The Unpredictable Throes Of Creation?
In This New-Found Golden Age, How Many Patreons Does One Need To Create An Unpopular Though True Art?

Sect I — Q-A:
Question: How much concern, or consideration do you give, as an Artisan of any given task, especially one of Writing — Do you consider enough, in a nicely deducing and inducing balance within yourself, and with your closet confidants?
Eleven-eleven is the time — Hypersensationalism always draws in the throngs, netting consequently a large bag of greenbacks, so where does a Sincere, Sacrificing, Inventing Artist sit in this stirring of the masses?
Many will not break through despite all the narratives; even if you do, they’ll reject you first — so what is the luck of the chances?
One could seemingly happily go along with the tidal wave — never do that; Why?: You’ll most likely lose aught that makes you as an individual and stifle all into the dangers of an authoritative throe.
However, stirring the polar opposition of the crowd belies the danger of overt individualism and that is a nasty terror, comprehensible to the former; Life is adaptation in motion, and at times wherein a balance cannot be managed, a judgment on choosing rightly for each moment passing.
Many, especially Artists, recoil at the very thought of fiscal matters, but as long as you have a Free-market, it is one of your main concerns: Commissions, Fashions, and things to Critic all aid your yearly salary!
I may chuckle at this interference and say it is fair if somewhat duly provocative statement to say that most do not understand Eccomics as they ought to, rather than they would like to.
Must prefer to just get by — not all this noise that such commotion stirs— not having an unsettling sum in some building society, what need, what use without motion or a good wherefore? Why desire something that is utterly outside one’s current scope, so I ask a Writer:
So where Could you Stand — where Should you Stand?
I’m not too predisposed to telling how one should live their lives — I much rather reflect on you — I am no fanatic of Therapy King Dice, as that becomes a nasty choker on the wider whole, like a gravy-soother who proclaims much, and profits on the chaos. But I can teach by consideration and reason, god help us if that exists at all nowadays; surely it must?
So where could you stand — where should you stand — I’ll add a third question here, where you do want to stand? Seemingly all sound similar to one another, but therein lies the complexity of life.
And what I can say, from my experience, is a need for temperance, and liquidity according to the terrain one happens to find themselves in. If you’re like me, you walk into the things that change you, stumbling in! Like finding yourself walking down a mile of prairie grass when you only intended to stare at the sea, oh-happy-happenstance!
Asking yourself the simplest of Questions, as candidly as possible, examine your answers — and get this fancy old thing: trying and applying such thoughts to the reality around you — [Oh, that one gets me smiling, I wish more Scientific thinkers did the same!];
What can work — what do you want to work — why do you want to do it, to begin with — where best is my craft expressed and bringing me a livable wage too?
As much as Artisans like to fool everyone else, they are workers no more different than Farmers — in the sense of turning hard-to-work substances, with a skilled turn of the hand or tool, and producing these nourishing ‘end produces.’
If I may butt in: It is certainly true my ideas, and how I express them don’t befit the current zeitgeist and dare say it, fashions; and thank goodness for my stubbornness — remember duckies, just because a majority does it, doesn’t inherently mean it is right, or necessarily true; time to delve deeper in-between the lines methinks, more will sleepwalk into something and act all surprised then ones who will think of it before and after!
Sect II — Q-A:
Let me bring you to my next Question:
How Many Patrons Does One Need?
How many people enthralled with your passion do you need to be financially able to persist in your hobby/craft? In the chance of a grand merchant reinvention, and being patronized like a master of old like Goya, where you could be either commissioned or appointed head artist of the court, I think it is better to focus on the Now.
What makes a Reader — not just a Viewer — not necessarily a Patron in the simple sense, a loyal reader of a platform like this can be just as valuable. I’m looking at you, Kendalin Jane.
First, a Reader — regarding the system on here — is subscribed to the Platform, while the Patron is directly subscribed to you, and that may be directly or through a service known as Patreon, a very wise name pick there fellas!
I divide the Reader from the Viewer on this platform by the simple fact that the Reader decides to accompany you far longer than the average swooping glance of the Viewer.
Medium can service you well, but direct patronization I believe is how most artists ought to persist, as you’re dependant on the loyalty of a multitude of individuals than at the whims of a capricious algorithm, that is trying to appease hundreds of thousands — of varying quality too!
Now, in this brief whirlwind ride, let me end this piece on humorous considerations of Patrons:
One Patreon: Now — I chuckle — unless they’re aimlessly wealthy, hopefully having some stark genius behind it, will not become your new, dependable backbone on which you can survive; never survive upon another, especially if that number is just one — you could be getting yourself in some awful straights willingly — if it is one, make sure they’re worth it.
Five Patreons: Now — I chuckle still, unless again they’re generous in what they trade to you in service of your arts, will not be the number one seeks in the endgame of I & Patronization.
Twenty Patreons: Now — Lookie here, our indefatigable Artisan has got themselves an enlarging rabble of benefactors, you better make sure your quality of Art & craft isn’t decreasing by the sudden shock that others care about what you so passionately have labored in keeping for so long!… Keep this flow strong, having a strong foundation is the basis of surviving the flux of Failures And Successes!
Fifty Patreon: Now — Depending on what they’re Willingly trading to you, this is near-enough for you to consider quitting that dismal task at that undefinable beverage chain! Hello the sanctity of rest and to the relief of your baggy eyes from working in the midnight hour on that wee Art of ye, don’t let it stop nor get too comfortable, the endgame still isn’t here!…
Hundred Patreon: Now — Youngster, of all ages, you’re there — but don’t get complacent now, it only takes for a number of individual shocks in your patrons lives all at once, for you to sink back to square one, as though the naughty Universe was teaching you a lesson of unbeknowst quality and quantity!; All you need to concern yourself on is the structure of your Foundations, as all things built lie upon that!
One-thousand plus Patreons: Now — Clearly the demand is there, and would only befit you the wiser to oblige such dotting guests of your art or craft by continuing on with your workings as you have done so before, shrewdly expanding if the need be and emerging as a different form: The form of an Artist with a damn good backbone that doesn’t creek in the late-hours or waking in the morning! You’ve Done it; lick them proud!
And with that Wit, comes the closure —
Ta-ta Now.
