How Monk Mode changed my life
I had a lot of dreams.
Dreams that meant a lot to me and dreams that I wanted to accomplish.
But did I achieve those dreams?
No!
Deep down, I knew that I had to put in the work and grind to make my dreams become real.
But still, I kept procrastinating and enjoyed temporarily pleasure over hard work. I kept hanging out with my friends that did not have the same dreams as me. I kept going to parties.
This kept going and going for several months until one day I discovered Monk Mode.
But what is Monk Mode?
Monk mode is a productivity hack that involves cutting out all distractions and focusing on one goal or several goals.
What did I do during Monk Mode?
- Define what I wanted to achieve during this period.
- Minimize social media, entertainment, and non-essential communication.
- Establish a consistent sleep schedule, exercise routine, and healthy eating habits.
- Learn a new skill that aligns with your goals.
- Meditation to improve focus and reduce stress.
- Reflect on your thoughts, goals, and progress regularly.
- Spend less time with people who drain your energy and more time with those who inspire and motivate you.
- Take care of your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Monk mode can vary from person to person, but this is what I did.
I got called boring and selfish during my Monk Mode.
Many of my friends left me and I was left with a small friend group that did not mind me doing Monk Mode.
But it is part of the process. Some people do not want to see you become better than them and achieve your goals.
They kept mocking me and my dreams and told me that I would fail.
To be honest, it really went into my mind and I believed that I would actually fail if I tried.
But I still gave Monk Mode a try.
The first day, I deleted all social medias from my phone. I only had myself and my mind.
It was really relaxing because I did not have to worry about a single thing on my phone anymore which made it easier for me to work on my business.
Then I meditated for 10 minutes every single day.
To keep it real with you guys, meditation felt like a waste of time. But as the days kept going and I kept meditating every single day. I found peace within myself.
I could be calm in all situations and I saw my goals infront of me.
It was such a nice feeling.
And of course, I started exercising in the morning. It taught me discipline and I got a huge boost of energy.
I kept doing these habits every single day for 2 months and then it became 4 months, 6 months and then 8 months!
How did Monk Mode change my life?
I learned to be calm in all situations, which makes my mind find solutions faster. Additionally, I learned to visualize during meditation, allowing me to see my goals in front of me.
I’m in the best shape of my life and I’m happy to be healthy both physically and mentally.
The best thing of all, I learned what discipline is. Keep doing all these things every single day and you will achieve your dreams. Trust me!
All you have to do is take action and not care about what other people say about you.
When I began Monk Mode and built my own business, no one supported me. But now, having achieved my dream, they’ve all returned, seeking my guidance and offering congratulations.
The journey will be lonely, keep that in mind.
Today I run an ecommerce brand that makes about $10 000 in revenue every month. My goal is to reach $50 000 in revenue in a month.
To achieve that $50 000 dream. I will use Monk Mode!
