How a Group of Writers Can Excel Together On Medium?

It’s a great opportunity for writers now days to find a welcoming place for their articles with no questions asked.

For sure you have to go through Editors filter when trying to write for Publications, so they can assure the quality of what will get posted on their publication.

I will speak from personal experience. After joining Followers Booster Hub publication, I have seen an unexpected growth to my followers list, views and read are increasing every day.

That is of course through the support of the followers of FBH publication, and the highly appreciated boost they gave to my work!

Going through each others articles, and leaving 50 claps at the end, tells the algorithm that this article might be good, so let’s push it out to more readers, which support how your visibility grow on Medium.

But if you look on how Medium favors writers, and show their work to more readers, it is about few other factors too.

Medium is all about reader’s experience, and how they are having a great time on the platform and enjoying reading one article after another.

We as writers can support each other so our articles get shown to more readers in many ways, so the Medium algorithm values our articles, and push them to more readers, and maybe our articles get Boosted by Medium!! The Big Prise!!

1. Views

Views are classified into two categories, either it is coming from Members or Non-members. For sure Medium favors more views if it is coming from members who pays the membership fees (and if they are reading your articles and enjoying them, they will stay for the long term, and keep paying membership fees). So, the views coming from us member writers favor the matrices for that article more.

2. Reads

That is a Big one!! As Zion mentioned in one of his articles “Writers are Givers”, I believe this is hundred present true!

As writers we always want to share what we know with the whole world! So, to Give & support fellow writers, make sure that you’re reading and going through the article you would like to support exceeds 30 seconds to secure a read for this article.

The higher the Read Ratio for each article (which is the percentage of Views that turned into Reads) will push this article even to more readers, and favor that writer. Also, if you enjoy the article and did read more than the 30 seconds, that will be even better, and the writer will defiantly thank you for that.

Remember, it is a karma, and soon you will receive the same treatment for your articles.

3. Engagement

That is the cherry on top of the cake! There are four forms of engagement when it comes to Medium algorithm. And if we can his all four of them for any given article, that article will make its way up easier.

· Total Clappers: for sure the amount of claps (50) will favor the algorithm, but also the number of Clappers is getting into the equation. So help other writers by clapping for their good work, and give them the 50 claps, and they will soon appreciate your work too.

· Total highlighters: That is the amount of readers who highlighted parts of your article, the more readers highlight parts of your article, the more Medium will believe this article have a lot of value, and they will push it to more readers. So, support other writers by highlighting the parts you liked or enjoyed at their articles.

· Total followers: That is when readers start to follow you after reading your article, which again means to Medium that your writing is really good, as readers go follow you right after reading your article.

· Last but not least, Total responders: This one is really big on the algorithm I believe, as this is the final social proof that your work is good, and readers are taking out of their time to show appreciation for that article, which will again add another key factor and proof for Medium algorithm that this article is good, readers are enjoying it clapping for it, highlighting valuable information, and finally engaging in discussion with the writer.

Let’s support each other as writers, and do all the above, so we can really support the writer’s community to get rewarded for their work. So writers can feel that they are moving forward every day with more followers, views and reads for their articles.
