How Many Books to Read?

That is the question

Just as the cactus Flower above I am reading one book now. More buds are coming up after.

My current book is by Maren Muter: Inside Past Life Connections — Dear Flower Lady. I had read her: The Story of the CACAO book already this year. I love this little book it is short, sweet with so much wisdom.

Maren Muter:

“The gift of chocolate is a gift of life”

— one of my favorite quotes from the book.

I picked up a book from a book exchange while waiting for a friend a few days ago by Amiée Carter The Goddess Test. I already read it. I had a hard time putting this book down. Twists on twists. A fun love story married with Greek gods. Who could resist?

I have another book from Maren Muter on my to-read list that also arrived: The Book of Buried Letters.

I have 4 books I started recently on my bedside table. One of them is 2/3’s read by one of my favorite authors Jodi Picoult: Wish You Were Here. I love all her books and it is hard to put them down. The story plays in the COVID pandemic, and I can relate. There is a twist of course. You might think you know what is going on and halfway everything changes. I did not see it coming. Highly recommended.

Jodi Picoult:

“Wash your hands and don’t touch your face”, he told me. “It’s going to be fine”

(Well we all know how that turned out)

I have also been reading chapters of my books as I am recording some on Y-Tube and reading Annelise Lords book chapters in Illumination Book Chapters.

I am working on publishing a few books this year and have to read and re-read my chapters. I hope that counts. I am planning to work on a book from Medium Writers in my publication Dancing Elephants Press. I will be reading many articles from writers to form a book.

To this prompt by Marrisa W. I do not know how many books I will read this year. Many books I reread because I like them so much. I hope I get to read between 50–100 books at least.

Do reading all the articles on Medium count? Then, if it is, I am reading a book from many of you who writes here.

This is for the prompt from Marrisa W.
