How Jesus Made a Difference in My Life
On our last snowmobile trip, my husband and I planned to spend the entire day on the trails following a loop. When we started out, the trails were rutted and bumpy. The ride was uncomfortable and we questioned whether we should continue.
But then we came upon the groomer heading towards us.
He had freshly groomed the trail ahead, evening out the bumps, and smoothing out the ruts. After he passed, we enjoyed a much more pleasant ride.
This reminded me of my life before and after I surrendered to Christ.
Before I was in relationship with Jesus, I suffered from anxiety and worry. I worked hard to get through my day and lived for the weekends. I had no real joy.
But when I made Jesus my Lord and Saviour, I was able to give Him my anxieties and concerns. I began to find joy in my day.
Life became a much more pleasant ride.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6 NIV).
