Hey, you are Bee’s online friends. I’m Note. An Asian guy who’s also a coder like Bonny. Is my name really Note? Well, not really. I’m a musician and math-lover in real life.

So, my friends call me Note.

We have a cool co-working space in one of the Berlin areas where a lot of coders and change-makers and artists are living and working. I like the picture at the top because of the light and shadow. Shape.

And he’s Asian, like me.

Bee especially, but our other friends too, are collaborating for world impact in all kinds of ways. I do music and art. And wild living…

It’s our world now. A young world. We change the status quo.

Hey, that’s an old band. Status Quo. It means Here & Now. I like that in a way. It’s the math fold in Superformula (2003). I always think in music or in geometries… Like waves do. Music waves and notes and rhythms.

What are you up to? Are you into bands? Or more solo?

Bee started this online space not so long ago. And she already has 150+ followers. Mainly American. And although I’m not very fond of your continent, you hate my looks, I like her online space here.

Are you gonna be kind to Bee? I’ll observe that for a bit. And then, I might make my own Medium space soon.

But until I do, I will hack Bee’s space once in a while for stupidly important music messages.

What’s my important message right now?

We share space!

We always share in Berlin, you know. We just share spaces and ownership and basic needs and food and joy among friends… When one of us is lonely, another jumps in. But we don’t crowd each other. We all have strong spines. Some because of the fitness school. Others from building houses and stuff.

Am I Bee’s lover, you ask?

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I’m not sure if Bee will ever have another lover. She’s gone off lovers after May’s dad. So, I don’t know. To be completely honest, I’m not sure yet if I like boys more or girls. Maybe a bit of both…

I’m still young. Younger than Bee.

Can experiment for a bit still if I do it safe and sound, can’t I?

Love for Web3

As an Asian guy, you’d expect me to be a coder, don’t you? We’re tech-savvy in Asia. And we like Web3. We’re designing better human systems than the old folks f**ked up before us.

Economies suck now after all.

Societies suck too.

Although Berlin isn’t that bad. Glad I’m not living in Afghanistan or Uganda. I couldn’t experiment with my love life and sexuality there. I don’t envy my brothers and sisters in those countries…

Bee and I are not working on the same Mediterranean seaweed project.

I’m not so much into the sea and nature. I love the city. Colored, arty concrete. With beauty in hardcore graffiti. Nice and cool. Although, cool…

I think we can design better concrete than the one we have now. And better, water-sucking asphalt for when we have floods. I love material science. And my designs of musical instruments are spacy. I will post a picture sometime.

I’m an inventor of music and instruments, and I’m proud of it! I also love breakdancing. Let me share some music videos with you here.

This is one I really like, although it’s an oldie.

I have a soft spot for black pop.

In my own continent, we have stuff like this.

Not bad. But a bit too crowded for me. And glib.

I don’t like fake. Give me real and authentic anytime. My friends are never ashamed of themselves. We all know we’re not perfect. No sweat. Diversity rocks. Who cares for anything but diversity?

Life would be boring otherwise, wouldn’t it?

We are… well… we are… and… we are on our way to BECOMING… adults someday… When? Who knows? We might die soon. Or not. Until then, I’m gonna have fun with temporary music notes fluttering on air and watery drops in the air.

They say, girls just wanna have fun. Well, I do too.

But not too adult right now yet. Bee grew up quickly because of her daughter May. She’s great to sing with. But I don’t wanna have kids (yet). I’m younger than Bee. And wilder. And I just wanna do so much still.

I hope to learn from Bee how to be successful on this Medium platform or anywhere else because I have a bit of a focus problem. ADHD. Lack of focus. But in my coding work, it works kind of okay.

Takeaways from this Post

I don’t know really what you can take away from this post. I think it’s mainly that we share space.

And that we are a varied group of Berlin young coders.

As a coder and knower of social media, I can say that if you wanna beat the algorithms, you have to be on topic. Because all social media like to keep you in your box.

Always boxed-in. Bee and our other friends don’t like that.

So, if you want out of your box, it’s cool to go look actively for strangers. And strange topics. And things you would normally never look at. Be curious.

I always read my strange friends’ books. Or poetry. Poetry is song. Even the telephone dictionary can be song. I like the rhythm of names. Or I read the math books of Bee’s uncle Oswald. He’s old. But he’s kind of okay. Not modern or anything. But okay.

Online, I Google a lot. And use ChatGPT on Bing.

I like asking questions. And then, in the next questions, challenging the answers the computer hands out. It’s so stupid when people don’t think for themselves, don’t you think?

What else can you learn from me?

Not a lot when it isn’t a song, I’m afraid.

I do math. I do rhythms. I do geometry with elastic bands. And I make super cool art and sell it as NFTs. Ah, here’s another one of my favorites. It’s an Italian artist.

People’s pixels fall apart and are glued back together again. That’s kind of real life, don’t you think? It’s certainly modern math and geometry…

I’m now trying to make something like this with music underneath. Coding the art. And adding the rhythms.
