How I Was Able to Grow from 0 to Hero on X (Formerly Twitter)?

Learn how to grow on X?

I joined Twitter in 2009, but that was just for fun and watching political tweets. Sometimes I was happy reading tweets, and sometimes I was getting frustrated due to political and absurd tweets.

I uninstalled the app and moved to other social media channels. I never used Twitter for my work or some learnings.

When Elon Musk took over Twitter, the game changed for many. I too found it constructive and joined X again. I started using X for my work and learning.

In September 2023, I rejoined and followed creators who were doing their best. I removed political people from my following list. I started engaging with the tweets and people who were sharing lessons, learnings, and experiences as their stories.

I started learning every day. I knew about Notion, Gumroad, and other tools to scale your business. I created two short eBooks on Gumroad and sold one for $1 on X. I was engaging with the people and sharing my learning.

I started growing on X. From 250 to 341 followers in a month. My products got an audience and so did my words.

I am growing at a slow rate, but it is consistent.

I joined Spaces on Twitter, where we’re talking about X monetization, audience building, scaling businesses, etc.

Once, I was feeling stuck because I was not growing and it was not helping me. But once I got the actual algorithm, I started growing exponentially.

Below are a few points that can help you to grow on X very easily.

1. Optimize your profile: Your banner must talk about your niche. Your bio should talk about What you do, why you do and how you do it. Your profile picture should be an HD pic
2. Post Consistently: You should post consistently irrespective of platform. Try to post 3–5 tweets per day. But your every tweet should provide value to the users.
3. Engage: Engagement is the key to X. Engage with like-minded people and your audience in the comments. You should comment on 25 tweets per day minimum. Try to comment on more than 50 tweets per day in the starting. This will help you to grow fast, but your comments should provide value. Try to add value to the tweet with your comments.
4. Learn: Learn from other people, and read their stories. Try to note down important points from your mentor's tweets, threads, and long forms. Keep seeking for value.
5. Create Products: Start creating products, no matter how much value. Once you start creating, you will get more insights and will eventually build a big value product.

Try to follow these 5 steps for a month regularly. Believe me, you will win this game of X or any platform.
