How I turned $300 to $100,000 At 19 (My Side Hustles)
I was 19 years old when I started making money online. The first time I earned $100,000 for a project, it took me less than a year to do so. You can too!
Writing
Writing is a great source of income. You can write for other people, or you can write your own books and make money from selling them. There are many ways to make money with writing!
When it comes to making money from writing, there are two different methods: writing for others and selling your own content. If you want to get paid to write for someone else’s site or blog, then this method is best suited for you.
If you’re more interested in self-publishing your own work and being able to sell it on Amazon or through other outlets such as Smashwords (which distributes ebooks), then this method will be right up your alley as well!
Book sales
If you’re looking to establish yourself as an expert in your field, writing a book is a great way to do it. It can also be a good way to build credibility with potential clients and help you get paid for your knowledge.
Writing a book doesn’t have to be hard or take years of work, though there’s no doubt that it takes time and effort.
You don’t have to become the next JK Rowling or Stephen King either; if you know how write well enough, there are plenty of publishers who are willing to publish books on every topic imaginable (and some that aren’t).
The most important thing is figuring out what your goals are before starting on this project so that when you reach them (or decide they’re not worth pursuing), then at least you’ll know whether or not it’s worth continuing with this side hustle.
Speaking
I’m not going to lie — I was very nervous about speaking. When I put myself out there, it wasn’t always pretty. But as with everything in life (and this entire article), practice makes perfect.
I started speaking because I had a passion for sharing my story and helping others succeed like me. I also had some things to share that hadn’t been talked about before in the online space; people were willing to pay me for the opportunity!
In 2017 alone, I spoke at events across the United States: from San Francisco to New York City, Atlanta, Detroit and more! It took time but eventually with hard work and dedication turned into a very lucrative business model that helped fund other side hustles as well (more on those later).
Coaching/Consulting
I started out by offering free advice and charging for it. I was lucky to be able to find a forum where I could give my advice and people would listen.
When I reached the point where other people were willing to pay, that’s when I knew that this was something worth pursuing more seriously.
I now offer coaching services through my site and in-person coaching at various locations around the country.
In addition, I also provide consulting services both remotely or onsite with clients who are looking for help with their side hustles or businesses (either starting one up or growing one).
Affiliate Marketing
One of the first steps I took in making money online was to start selling affiliate products. Affiliate marketing is when you promote other companies’ products and get a commission for each sale that you generate.
I started by promoting my blog content on my website, and eventually I created an entire e-commerce store where I sell physical products as well as digital downloads (such as ebooks).
All of these are things that people are looking for, so it makes sense to attract them with Amazon links instead of ads or banner ads from other companies.
Amazon offers its own program where they pay 50% commissions on any purchases made through your links.
