Ready to discover the secret to making lasting changes in your life? It only takes 2 minutes. Join me in this blog to learn how to effectively use the power of the 2-Minute Rule and understand the importance of simplicity in habit formation.

In this blog, I will explain why you only need to invest 2 minutes to make a new habit stick.

You only need to make your habit very simple by dedicating 2 minutes to it.

The 2-Minute Rule: Start Small

When starting a new habit, I only invest two minutes because it’s a very short time. Even if I don’t particularly enjoy it, I commit to two minutes of it every day.

Making Hard Habits Easier

I used to have reading as a two-minute habit, so I read at least 2 minutes per day. But now I want to allocate more time to it and read for 15 minutes every day.

The Importance of Habit Establishment

It is important for you to be consistent with your habits. Because it only requires a short time, and I believe everyone has 2 minutes a day.

The psychology behind it is that I think it’s just two minutes. Once I start, I get into a flow and end up spending more time on the habit.

Examples

I came across the 2-Minute Rule in James Clear’s book, “Atomic Habits.” This simple rule helped me develop several healthy habits and establish a productive routine.
