I love writing responses to your articles and stories. I do my best to be original and sincere, writing something that resonates with you about what resonates with me.

Just Spill.

It is what I tell myself as I slow down my claps to 41 (yep, I'm weird. Orange hair and all).

Experiment "live" on the response. I experiment with word choices and even combining words. Do you know what happens when you combine Imaginaton and Curiosity real quick? You get Imaginosity.

Back to the messy spilling. Here are the steps:

  1. Just Spill. (write it).
  2. Clean up (edit it).

The Just Spill is the gut reaction. Cleaning it up is the brain's response. It's fun, though. I make myself giggle. A good part of this exercise is in the giggle.

As a boy, I played with crayons, paints, and colored chalk. I'd make a mess. I got yelled at a lot. I still make a mess, but now it's with words.

And nobody yells at me anymore. Well, there was this one lady that one time. But I won't go there right now.

Sometimes, when I start a story or a response, I ask myself, "What's the Spill?"

I don't try to be perfect (Blechh). I want to be real, you feel me?

The thing about the spill is you want to be comfortable with crap. (Can I say "crap" on Medium?) Be comfy with it because you want it to come out. Remember, Just Spill first, then Clean it up later.

Thank you for reading. If you want, clap a bit. Then, Just Spill with a response. It's OK if you giggle. I promise not to yell at you.
