How I Skyrocketed My SEO Results in Less Than 3 Months
Use these 5 tips to get the same love from Google
My website and Google are in a huge love affair right now!
My site’s traffic, rankings, conversions, views, clicks, and visibility have all skyrocketed in the past three months, all from taking a few easy peasy steps.
Another thing I’ve noticed? I get clicks from Google almost every day now. Last week, I got six in one day, the highest yet!
In this article, I’ll walk you through what I did and provide screenshots and links so you can see the results for yourself.
If you want your site to get the same kind of Google love, just keep reading.
Here are my results right now:
Tip #1 — Don’t forget the H2s, H3s, and H4s
In the world of SEO, we usually hear about Titles and H1s ad nauseam.
While your title and H1s are super important, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to tell your story using the H2, H3, and H4 headings.
In my opinion, these are not just for subtitles or headlines. They can also be used to punctuate a point or highlight an important section of your site.
I sprinkled in my keywords and phrases on my main page using H2s, H3s, and H4s, and within a month, I saw a consistent difference in my rankings.
Please remember that results also have to do with your site’s already established authority (or lack thereof). My site is about 18 months old and I am constantly blogging and adding content, so my authority has risen quickly in comparison to my site’s age.
The lesson? Don’t be afraid of using your keywords and phrases in your H2s, H3s, and H4s, and be clear about what your site is about.
Tip #2 — Add an FAQ page
After I added an FAQ page to my site, something shifted.
(You can check it out here!).
Answering specific questions based on your niche on a separate page of your site packs a punch for bots. Now, they “know” (creepy!) exactly what your site is about and can link it to those exact queries on Google Search.
This is another place the H2s, H3s, and H4s come in handy.
What is your niche always asking or Googling? Choose your top six and create a page where you answer these in detail.
Below is a screenshot of my FAQ page and the first question.
Tip #3—Keep adding content, either by blogging or adding new pages to your site
Websites that have updated and regular content added will perform better than sites that have existed for years with no love or updates.
Google wants to give its users an incredible experience by answering their questions quickly and with the best information.
A site that has a 5-year-old blog with no updates is not gonna cut it.
Have a steady stream of content you add to your site monthly.
This can be a blog, new pages (like landing and sales pages), or an FAQ page that you continue to update.
Over the past four months, I’ve added six new pages to my site.
These include:
About Me
Frequently Asked Questions
Book Your Free Discovery Call
Join My Community (lead gen page)
The Monday Energy and Mindset Tune-up Call (landing page)
Your 60-Day Manifestation Journal (sales page)
Adding more content can also mean more conversions and engagement.
If someone finds one page on your site valuable to their experience, they’ll likely want to browse more.
Add pages for specific services or products, to talk about a targeted topic, or invite people to join your email list.
The more your site answers questions and informs, the more Google loves it.
Tip #4 — Add backlinks with high authority
Not all backlinks are created equal.
What you want to look for are high-authority backlinks that will boost your own site’s authority.
What are high-quality backlinks? They are the sites that have consistent monthly traffic, conversions, and engagement and satisfy Google’s guidelines for answering questions and providing relevant information for searches.
I’ll give you an example.
My copywriting teacher has a high-authority site. After receiving our certifications, she added us as certified copywriters to her site and linked our websites to hers.
This helped my site gain more authority in Google’s eyes.
Think of it as getting a great recommendation for a college or job. An already high authority site is recommending your site and Google takes that seriously.
Within a few weeks, I saw traffic increases and new referrers to my site.
Tip #5 — Share your site regularly
Keep finding ways to share your site relevantly.
This is why having a regular blog or service is helpful.
You can keep encouraging traffic and engagement to your site with new content, helping Google take note.
I see each website visitor as a potential client or customer. If you treat each click as a valuable step in creating your empire, you’ll keep finding ways to update your content and answer your niche’s questions.
I hope this helped you!
