I am not an affiliate guy. Honestly, I have never got a single sale from those 21 affiliate links I have ever received. Yearly blogging reports is awesome, it is like self-evaluation. You compare your previous year’s earing with the current year and suggest the improvement you needed to do.

I have started Blogging in 2017 with a free blog for making money on the side — here is my unpopular story. I have to write posts on my free blogger.com blog for hours and spend countless hours marketing my posts. Blogspot blogs don’t rank very well in search engines.

I have made over $1000 with a single Blogspot blog in 2017.

Google favors long-form content because Google wants to go the best of the content to the user, a single piece of content that solves multiple problems of the user. For a blogger, this helps him getting a low-bounce rate and more reading time. According to a Semrush study “A blog post of 4,000 words gets 3x traffic than a blog post with 1000–1200 words”
Don’t forget third-party publishing sites: Third-part publishing sites like Quora, Medium and Reddit give you the opportunity to reach thousands of people and get more readers to your blog. All of these three sites get millions of unique viewers every day. 20% of traffic coming to my blogs is from these three sites. Quora launches “Quora spaces” which is equivalent to Facebook Pages, you can share whatever you want to promote.
Social Sharing: One thing people often forget is that Social media sites have a “Search box” people there search for things too, most of the social media sites shows related links to the search term too. Always share your content to get more traffic.
Search Engine Optimization: SEO is a great way to get more traffic. There are two types of SEO, Off-page and On-page SEO. Writing long-form content and good internal linking is on-page SEO while marketing your blog posts and making backlinks is Off-page SEO. If you want to make more money from Google AdSense then you have to get a good amount of Search Traffic.

DFP Stands for Double-click for Publishers which is a Google-owned company responsible for filtering ads and connect advertisers and Publishers. If you have an AdSense account then you can easily join the platform and can make money showing high CPC Ads on your blog.

Your earned money from that click to be added in real-time to your Google AdSense account. The only Job of the DFP is to filter the ads and show only those ads on your site that have more CPC.
