How I Made $4497.43 on Amazon KDP in July 2023

Welcome to my July Amazon KDP income report. I’m thrilled to announce that it has been a record-breaking month for me. I didn’t focus too much on this business during July but I was still able to bring in a significant income. My July Income
This July, I made $4497.46, an increase from the May high of this year. What’s truly impressive is that there were only two days in the month where I made less than a hundred dollars. I’m pleased to see consistency in my earnings, without wild fluctuations or extremely low days.

I only created one book this month, an activity book, and didn’t focus too much on my ad spend. Compared to July 2022, when I grossed only $952.68, this year I’ve seen an increase of 372 percent.

This massive growth illustrates the importance of always learning, fine-tuning, and having a long-term outlook.
Breakdown by Marketplaces
The UK is where I get most of my sales, grossing nearly 4K. I also grossed $460.73 in the .com Market, and made income from Spain, Germany, France, Australia, Netherlands, and Poland. It’s one of the great things about Amazon; there are so many marketplaces you can profit from.
Best-Selling Books
I’d like to highlight some of my best-selling books of the month. The first was an activity book that grossed over two thousand dollars. The second was another activity book created recently. Other top sellers included a logbook, a quiz book, and a newly created activity book.
Ad Spend and Analysis
For my ads, I focused on three markets: the US, UK, and Canada. My US ad spend was $123.48, with an ACoS (Advertising Cost of Sale) of 30.99%. The UK saw more spending at $754.19, with an ACoS of 25.93%. In Canada, I spent $1.50 but did not make any sales.

My ad spend was a lot higher this month and I didn’t spend as much time as I should have monitoring the ads.
I also run some new ads on books on the activity book I created and 2 books that I created in the previous month. The current ads have a much higher ACoS as it takes time to perfect an ad campaign but through constant adjustments and refining the profitable keywords and products, you will be able to reduce the process with time. It’s a continuous process, and you need to be always learning from your successes and failures.
Final Numbers

My total income for July 2023 was $4497.46, with expenses of $1386.57 (including ads, subscriptions to Creative Fabrica, Mid-Journey Chat GTP Plus, Canva, and additional costs for the UK market). This resulted in a net income of $3110.89.
Conclusion
It’s been a journey of continuous learning and growth. Amazon KDP offers tremendous opportunities, but it requires dedication, constant refinement, and a long-term perspective.
I’d love to hear how the month of July went for you, so please feel free to share your experience in the comments.
