How I Keep My Brain Ridiculously Fit

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY, adequate sleep, flavonoids (more about that in a bit), and more. These are essential elements for me to keep my mind sharp. I feel strongly about optimizing my brain health, as I make decisions that can profoundly affect my patients’ lives with cancer.

We begin with physical activity, an essential part of optimizing your health. But did you know that movement also helps to keep your brain sharp? Here are the findings of a study done by the Department of Exercise Science at the University of Georgia (USA):

Exercise and mood
