How I Fell Ass-Backwards Into Solopreneurship (And Why You Should Join Me)

Like all good stories, it started badly.

I lost my job in 2018.

I was a “full-time” youth worker at a local church. I worked with a bunch of amazing young people and I was pretty darn good at it.

So it stung when my contract wasn’t renewed due to budget cuts.

A couple of temporary roles came and went before I took my first Bambi-on-ice steps into self-employment.

And honestly, I haven’t looked back since.

Here’s a super condensed breakdown of how I became a solopreneur:

  1. I spotted a gap in the market and jammed a business in there, and,
  2. Figured out how to grow that business organically, while,
  3. Constantly pursuing ways to improve it.

Is solopreneurship easy? Rarely.

Is it worth the grind? Completely.

If you have a business idea, the worst thing you can ever do is not explore it.

It could change your life forever.
