WRITING
How I Earned My Top Writer Badge
I am thankful to the editors of these two photography publications on Medium

“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.” — Don McCullin
I recently checked my inbox and saw an email from Medium informing me that I had been awarded a top writer badge in photography. Needless to say, I was overjoyed.
I love spending time outside in nature and marvel at its inexhaustible beauty. I’ve always enjoyed photographing wildlife, and being able to share my work with the Medium community is just the cherry on top.
Being awarded this badge is a truly humbling experience.

Thankful to the Editors
I owe Mary Chang Story Writer a debt of gratitude. Her Six Word Photo Story Challenge publication has helped me see the world from a whole new perspective.
I am more conscious of what is going on around me. In my never-ending pursuit of the perfect photograph, I look up, down, and all around me.
I am also particularly thankful to the editorial team at Snapshots, which includes Allan Rae (alto), Sherry Kappel, Dennett, and David Montgomery, for creating such a unique publication that has allowed me to showcase my photography.
Sharing my photos on Medium has unquestionably increased my connection and engagement.

Staying Mindful
When I’m feeling stressed, mindful photography is a fun and creative way to stay present. It’s helped me find my center.
In this chaotic world we all live in, capturing nature photographs has provided me with a sense of peace and serenity.
It has also assisted me in feeling appreciative for all the good things in my life.
Thank you to Trista Signe Ainsworth for creating this beautiful space to house our stories of gratitude.
