How I Ascended the Mountain of Ambition to discover my Destiny and Freedom

It is not easy to know what our purpose is in life and who we are destined to become and what we are meant to be doing in life.

As a teenager, I enjoyed writing. My father is a writer, so my earliest memories are watching my Dad write at his desk, every day, till late at night. My Dad inspired me to become a writer and also due to the fact that he is an awesome Storyteller.

Later in life, I often wondered what my destiny was going to be and the type of person I was going to become in the future. I realized that my skills and abilities were that of a writer, so writing was what I seriously needed to start doing.

I was watching the movie “Dark Knight Begins” and enjoyed the scene where Bruce Wayne, before he was transformed into “Batman”, climbs a mountain, where he is later trained as a warrior, ultimately choosing his destiny, to defend the world and save his city, from villains. Bruce Wayne reaches the top of the mountain and finds the rare flower. That was the flower of triumph, which was achieved through sheer determination and will-power. This movie and the story was a work of fiction.

There are so many heroes in society today, who overcome unimaginable odds to make a difference in their lives and in the lives of others, like fire-fighters, health-care workers and so many others who defend our world from evil forces.

I realized that in my life, I had also climbed a mountain within, that steep climb where effort is put in and there no rewards in sight. We climb and slide up the steep side, hoping to reach our goal. Progress comes after a struggle. I had received a lot of rejections for my work through traditional media and then I decided to take writing and publishing into my own hands.

Since that time more than ten years ago I have been writing and publishing my work online on a number of publishing platforms. I had finally reached the summit of my mountain which I carried inside my mind and which had motivated me to succeed and helped me to overcome failures. I am happy at the summit I have reached where I can write and publish my thoughts, knowing that I am contributing to change the world in a positive way.

In order for you to reach the summit, of the mountain peak of your success, you need to discover the strengths, weaknesses, abilities, and talents you possess. Develop those skills and work towards creating a platform to showcase your work.

Never give up on your dream or stop trying because one day you will succeed in your quest to find your life purpose. As the years go by, you will discover that you have indeed found and mastered your destiny, while ascending the peak of your mountain of personal dreams, goals, and ambitions.

You are the mountaineer and no one can scale that mountain but you, a skilled mountaineer and expert of your life.
