I am a marketing consultant. That’s a good job, but as any freelancer I have to fight to make money. I have been in this field for many years and I have had the opportunity to meet many people who, like me, are afraid of running out of money.

In this article, I will tell you my story and explain how I managed to overcome this fear.

The Beginning of Fear

I come from a modest family and I grew up afraid of running out of money. My parents worked hard to feed and house us, but they never had any money left over. I remember that they were often anxious about the future and that they often argued about money.

Fear worsens

As I grew older, my fear of running out of money worsened. I started to worry about everything: losing my job, not being able to pay my bills, not being able to support my family.

This fear prevented me from taking risks in my life. I refused to quit my job for a better one, and I was even afraid to get married.

Awareness

One day, I realized that my fear of running out of money was ruining my life. I was constantly stressed and anxious and I was no longer enjoying life.

I decided to take matters into my own hands and overcome my fear.

Steps to Healing

The first step was to understand where my fear came from. I realized that my fear was based on irrational beliefs. I believed that I would never be able to make enough money to support myself.

The second step was to work on my beliefs. I started repeating positive affirmations to myself, such as, "I am capable of making money" or "I will never run out of money."

The third step was to take risks. I started making decisions that made me uncomfortable, such as quitting my salary job, starting my own business, and buying a bigger house.

Results

As I followed these steps, I began to see results. My fear of running out of money began to subside and I began to feel more confident and in control of my life.

Today, I am still aware of the possibility of running out of money, but I no longer let it control me. I’m living my life to the fullest and I’m not letting fear hold me back.
