How I Answer 3 Unspoken Questions And Land Clients Almost Immediately
Have you ever wondered why some people easily grow their businesses while others struggle to make a single sale?
It’s because successful businesses answer the unspoken questions of their targeted customers.
This is something that I learned after a long time in my service-based business. I ran promotional ads for my service, sent cold emails, joined forums, and even helped people in Facebook groups — but nothing worked until I learned that customers (and even your followers) have the “unspoken questions” in their minds that you need to answer them first.
You need to answer those questions in the initial part of your pitch, article, ad, YouTube video, and any post.
If you will not answer those questions, you will not be able to attract new customers.
What Are Unspoken Questions?
There are three unspoken questions in the mind of your targeted customer…
- Is it NEW?
- Does it fulfill the current need?
- Are you the top choice in your market?
If any one of these questions has a ‘No’ answer, you will struggle with sales… It won’t be easy to grow your business.
But if the answer is ‘Yes’ to all three questions, I can almost guarantee, you will get customers easily…
Your business will bring you closer to millionaire status.
1. Is It New?
You need to offer a new product or service that is completely different from your competitors.
There is actually a “Novelty Bias” factor in each one of us. Our brain pays more attention to new and unfamiliar things. That’s why super successful marketers and salespeople use it a lot to capture the attention of their targeted customers.
Even today, many world-renowned companies, such as Apple, Tesla, and Amazon, use novelty bias (new factor) to buy their customers’ loyalty and generate sales.
If it’s not possible for you to offer a completely new service or product, then at least offer some new aspect, benefit, or features in your service that no one else is offering in the market.
This novelty bias rule isn’t limited to businesses only.
If you see all the top content creators on social media, they are following this same rule too. From Mr. Beast to Iman Gadzhi, every famous content creator is producing unique & new content.
That’s why they are super rich and have millions of followers.
The thing I have noticed while dealing with my clients is that people either copy their competitors or learn something from the top content creators of their industry and then present their ideas as their own.
And I can prove it right now.
Go to Twitter and find the top 2–3 experts in a specific industry. I can almost guarantee that more than 90 percent of the people who claim to be experts will be following the top experts and sharing their ideas as their own to get customers.
So, if you are copying others, or your product or service is similar to your competitors, how can you expect to get clients?
You have to think…
You either have to introduce a new product or service, or at the very least come up with some new offer, benefit, and feature.
In case it’s extremely tough for you to do that because of your industry, then study your competitors and turn their weak points into your strength… I have written an article on this and given some excellent examples as well. You can read it here: Turn Your Competitor’s Flaws into Selling Points.
2. Does It Fulfill The Current Need?
This is the second unspoken question in the subconscious mind of your potential customer. It’s crucial to answer it as soon as possible through your idea, picture, headline, or description.
If your product or service doesn’t fulfill your customer’s current need, it won’t sell. Your customer won’t have any interest in it, and they won’t pay for something they don’t need.
Therefore, it’s essential to determine what your customers need right now.
Personally, I do two things to discover the current desperate need of my targeted customers:
- I use Reddit to gather information about my audience.
- I monitor competitors and analyze their marketing strategies.
By exploring Reddit communities, I learn what type of questions they are asking and what features they want to see in a product. I even ask direct questions in communities to find out the current needs of the market.
As a copywriter, the information I get from Reddit helps me write a sales page that targets the current and urgent needs of the customer.
Similarly, analyzing the marketing strategies of your competitors can reveal how they are advertising and selling their products. For instance, if they are using Facebook ads more than Google ads, it could indicate that Facebook ads are more responsive than Google ads. I’ll write different variations of ad copies for Facebook ads to find out which ones get the best response from customers. I can then create a sales page based on the results to improve the conversion rate.
This strategy always works for me, and it should work for you too if you focus on your target customers’ current needs.
3. Are You The Top Choice In Your Market?
This is the third and one of the most important questions…
If you can answer this question in your sales pitch, and prove it with some evidence as well, the clients will value you and become desperate to pay for your product or service.
They will indeed refer others to your business as well.
But it is not easy to answer this question… Because most of your time or money will be spent to prove that you are the top choice in your market.
But how can you do that?
- Dominate one specific niche in your market.
- Use testimonials to build trust.
- Share case studies and highlight your process.
I do all these things… But if my client is in a service-based business, I give special attention to the case studies.
I have noticed time and time again that case studies build more trust and prove that you have the ability to get results.
When you have multiple successful case studies, you demonstrate that you can get good results for your clients again and again. This sets you apart from the competition and builds your reputation as an expert and the only top choice in the market.
So, be innovative, fulfill the current need, and become the top choice in your niche. When you do this, you win business even in a competitive market and land clients almost immediately.
