How House Republicans Are Reacting To Trump Indictments

Republicans are going wild over the Donald Trump indictments. The House Republicans are currently requesting the defunding of prosecution cases against former President Donald Trump. Republican representatives in Georgia, Andrew Clyde, and Marjorie Taylor Greene have pushed for federal defunding. Greene has pushed for the defunding of major federal actions, such as the funding of the war in Ukraine. She has also asked for the impeachment of current president Joe Biden, as she said on an X thread:

“The White House is attacking me for demanding an impeachment inquiry before I’ll vote to fund one penny of our overbloated $32 trillion in debt and failing government.”

Andrew Clyde has also been an advocate for the defunding of federal programs. He wants to make it known that he dislikes what the federal government is doing with the Trump indictments. He wants to stop federal funding from going to the Trump prosecution teams. He has also made inquiries about creating laws that would prevent the prosecution of any major candidates before the presidential elections. Republicans have been backing Clyde and Greene, as they see the indictments as unfair and tyrannical.

In fact, 59 percent of Republicans said that they would vote for Trump first, and Trump has the support of 48 percent of Republicans. The Republican Party has tight support for Donald Trump and will help him through his legal process. Trump has used donations from his major supporters to fund his very costly legal battles. Donald Trump has run through most of the donation money and will eventually have to dig into his own pockets.

Republicans are definitely outraged by the Donald Trump indictment and have sought to halt the indictments altogether. Many say that the indictments are a way of interfering with the 2024 election, and others say that the indictments are a weaponization of the DOJ. What this also means is that Joe Biden is going to become really unpopular with the House of Representatives. The House is mostly controlled by Republicans, as it has 222 Republican representatives compared to 213 Democrats.

The House does control federal legislatures and has a say in where the funding goes. But that does not mean that House Republicans will get everything they want. Congress is still controlled mostly by Democrats, and Congress can block major decisions coming from House Republicans. We will definitely see battles between House Republicans and Congress. Marjorie Taylor Greene and other Republican officials have already been fighting with the White House.

Republicans also want President Joe Biden out of the White House, as they believe that Congress should impeach him. Republicans have made unfounded claims that President Joe Biden has been dealing in his corrupt family business and that Biden has committed illegal actions since he was Vice President. Republicans have attacked Joe Biden over a corrupt DOJ system but have defended Donald Trump over his two impeachments. Trump has made statements calling the two impeachments unfair and saying that he beat both of them.

Republicans still continue to fight in the House, and it is important to look at the House of Representatives. We will definitely see a decrease in federal funding. Most House Republicans want to push back on Joe Biden’s funding.
