How Good Is The Quality Of The Water In Your Pool
Water is very important to our health

Global warming is affecting us all, in one way or another. No matter where you live, swimming pools are part of our landscape, big time.
Having friends over, relaxing after the pandemic, will be a priority for many of us. Relaxing in the backyard, swimming will undoubtedly bring us down to earth.
Preparing that pool will be a big job, the quality of the water being the most important.
What you need to do to start up your pool-By Tina Jepson
- Clean your pool and filter
- Add chemicals and fill with water
- Balance the levels
- Monitor the filter and watercolor
- Vacuum, scrub and prepare
Learning the basics will prevent germs, bacteria, and algae from spreading, having your family and guest enjoying quality time within a safe environment.
Taking steps, that your whole family should be concerned about, seems to be in order, with all the time we need to return to normal.
Your health is important, enjoying quality time, with others, is something we will appreciate much more.
For many years we have been taking so much for granted. Our health has taken a backseat to success and wealth yet, our health is all we have?
Time has come, to go back to basics, relationships, family, hard work, and sharing with others without fear. We all need to respond to the world’s problems, your health needs to be a priority.
Why is water important to our health?
The basics of water as a “matter” are easy to understand, we are mostly composed of it, without it we would all die.
Understanding is essential if you expect to learn more about what water does in your body, how it acts and reacts, more importantly, what it needs to not only survive but keep you alive and healthy.
Men are composed of as much as 60% of water, women somewhere around 55%. When babies are born, they are around 78% water.
Since it is such a huge part of our body composition, I need to know more about how we can take care of it. I need to understand what I must do to maintain the same high quality of my drinking water, as the water in my pool.
I started reading information about the PH levels of our drinking water and found that most people knew nothing about how important it is.
If you take your tap water to fill your pool, then verify its status to verify the PH and do what needs to be done to make sure it is healthy, what do you do when you turn your taps on for drinking, cooking, washing your clothes, to make sure it is safe?
If the PH is important in our pools, why is it as important in our drinking water?
The EPA recommends a ph level of 6.5 to 7.5 in our drinking water. Below 6.5 the water is acidic, above 7.5 it is alkaline.
Ok, I get it and started trying to find out what the level was in our water at home. If it is so vital for my pool, surely it must be as crucial for the water in my body?
You following me so far? The water in my pool and the one in my body come from the same place, the city.
After weeks of frustration reading and having my water tested, I found that very little seems to worry our city fathers, about the importance of the PH levels. My pool guy seemed to be worried yet, he did not seem to know more than I did. That really began to worry me. Are we all so used to just trust our leaders? Do we not need to know the truths?
I know that our peers mean well, all our leaders have families but is it not our common sense to realize that trust is one thing, and being indifferent to our personal health is another story?
Here were some of my worries.
- If my pool gets too alkaline or acidic when the temperature rises, how does the water in my body react when I sunbathe in warmer water?
Water with a low pH can be acidic, naturally soft, and corrosive. Acidic water can leach metals from pipes and fixtures, such as copper, lead, and zinc. It can also damage metal pipes and cause aesthetic problems, such as a metallic or sour taste, laundry staining, or blue-green stains in sinks and drains.
What happens to the water in my body if it is too acidic? Does it leave any traces I need to know about?
The importance of water pH is to keep your body in balance and to regulate metabolic processes. A diet high in acidity will lead to weight gain, slower immune response, and susceptibility to disease, while a diet too alkaline will lead to an inability to metabolize key nutrients. Feb. 8, 2016
2. What happens is the water gets too alkaline in the pool and I get too many algae?
When the levels of acid in your blood are too high, it’s called acidosis. When your blood is too alkaline, it is called alkalosis. Respiratory acidosis and alkalosis are due to a problem with the lungs. Metabolic acidosis and alkalosis are due to a problem with the kidneys
If the water in my body gets too alkaline? Can I get algae in my blood?
At this point, I began to really worry about my health. If I do nothing to protect myself, who is doing something to make sure I know about it?
Water is 60% of what I am. My body is surely more important than my pool? That made me feel very unsafe. That was over 20 years ago, I did much research and decided I needed to adapt my diet to my lifestyle, real quick.
Maintaining balance is what you need to understand when it comes to drinking and eating any substance.
Your PH is up to you, based on what you eat and drink. PH is not a pill that corrects all problems. You build your PH levels with hard work, knowledge, and experience.
You are what you eat and drink. I want to share with you what I eat and drink, to help you understand, the basics of eating and drinking, in order to maintain a high-quality PH level, by understanding what you are doing. Read the following as a fellow human, I have a family and I sure wish I would have known much more, much sooner in life.
Over the next few months, I will share what I have found to be helpful to me and my family. If you have questions just respond and I will take the time to listen and inform you.
I will explain it to you, the way I understand it. I am not a scientist, I will explain it as a layman and try to make sure it is clear and concise.
The following is what I eat every morning as soon as possible when I rise.
I have one tablespoon of Pure unpasteurized honey, two Tablespoons of Pure Organic, Raw, Unfiltered, unpasteurized Apple Cider Vinegar, with “The Mother” written on the bottle, in 16 ounces of fresh Natural Springwater. Read the ingredients carefully. (you can substitute the ACV with lemon if you wish. I stir them all together and drink slowly at first to get used to the taste.
Note: You may start with less ACV or lemon and adjust with time. If you find it hard to digest, reduce the quantities of any product, except the water, until you obtain the pleasure of this very healthy drink.
Unpasteurized means not cooked. Cooking destroys most of the vitamins and minerals in all foods. Learn to read labels and ask us if you have questions.
Honey is acidic in nature as the pH of honey ranges from 3.4 to 6.1. The average pH of honey is 3.9, and we know that on the pH scale, anything below 7 is acidic, 7 is neutral, and above 7 is basic. However, when honey is consumed it becomes alkaline.
Increasing your body’s pH is called “alkalizing.” Lemon juice in its natural state is acidic with a pH of about 2, but once metabolized it actually becomes alkaline with a pH well above 7. So, outside the body, anyone can see that lemon juice is very acidic. Jul. 27, 2017
The pH of apple cider vinegar is about 2–3, which is considered mildly acidic. (pH is a measure of acidity, with 1 being the most acidic and 7 being neutral.) A substance is known as ‘the mother’ (or vinegar mother) forms during the vinegar-making process. May 29, 2019
Remember that both the raw honey and the pure Lemon Juice become alkaline when they are metabolized. Metabolism (pronounced: meh-TAB-uh-Liz-um) is the chemical reaction in the body’s cells that change food into energy. Our bodies need this energy to do everything from moving to thinking to growing. Specific proteins in the body control the chemical reactions of metabolism.
When I started Thee Quest I wanted to tell my story, hear yours and create a common goal of being to live life to the fullest.
Eating and drinking are two of the most important functions we need to learn in order to reach our Quest. I will write an article every once in a while to explain to you how I started changing my life many years ago by taking control of it.
It has become very important to me, as much as my being Trans, upon my discovery of Gender Dysphoria. If I were not in great health I would not be able to meet and defeat this condition.
At 68, I need to talk about eating and Dysphoria within my Body Mind, and Spirit to survive.
I also care very much about the LGBTQ community, all That Black Lives Matter and Women’s rights represent. I know it’s lots but are we not all in this life together. If we eat right we will all benefit.
Thank you all for sharing a vision. Share it with me on Thee Quest and I love you all!
Louise :)
