How Fleeting is that Feeling
A Poem

How fleeting is that feeling —
Yet how sweet when it comes —
Of a crisp spring day
When I was wrapped in your arms
How neatly we once fit
Two frames pressed into one
When we would breathe in the same air
And for once, I wouldn’t run
I can feel your shape against me
And your hands against my skin
Is this romance?
You are all that keeps me sane
How fleeting was that moment
God, what I wouldn’t give
To melt beneath the heat of you
And belong to you again
