How Early Mornings Changed My Life From Inside Out
So you can also use the quiet hours to build your future self
For the first time, I rolled myself from the bed at 4:00 am. I was brushing my teeth, and the back of my head was: what are you doing mate? This is not meant for you. Why are you bothering doing hard things? Go back to your fucking nerd zone.
However, as the days passed by, I got used to the early hours. I started seeing changes in my behavior– clarity of thought, calmness, and patience.
Moreover, I was able to identify what’s right and what’s wrong. And I started to answer these questions: who am I? And what am I doing here? And if you know who you are, then the game of life becomes easy to play.
Because you know what you want and how you’ll get there.
Quiet hours
We all have been there, getting up late and seeing — Dad is watching the news, neighbors are fighting, and mom is shouting for the laundry.
And before we can think of our day, our heads become messed up with unnecessary drama. We get to work with fucked up minds and unmade decisions.
So, at that point, I realized getting up early can be a game-changer, as I’ll get quiet hours to think, reflect, and organize my thoughts in a manner. And I can invest the early hours to get to know myself more.
Morning rituals
As I started getting up early, I knew I needed some rituals to calm my mind.
Over time, I discovered six rituals that helped me develop mental strength, calmness, and patience.
Here it is:
Shower: I love morning showers they give me an instant boost of energy, the blood flow increases, and feel the wave of relief from the body.
Mediate for 20 minutes: I do some breathing exercises first to calm my nerves, then I sit in a Burmese position and try to focus on my breath. It helps me to slow down, be more present, and to know myself better.
Morning pages: I write 2 pages every morning. I start with gratitude to feel the wave of positivity. Then, I start writing about the feelings I get up with ( to clear the mind) and the things that I want to work on( my goals). Combined, this helps me organize each thought into the right shelf.
Prayer: I close my eyes, feel the presence of god, be thankful for all the things, and ask for strength and calmness.
10 minutes of walk: I go out in nature, feel the air on my body, and the connection with the environment. Overall, I think better after a quick morning walk.
Combined all the six rituals helps me to get:
Clarity of thought: When I slow down, I get to know myself better every day. And helps me focus on my goals with a clear mental picture.
Peace: I feel the peace within as I spend time with myself — slowing down, reflecting, and setting a positive tone for the day.
Positive energy: Once I get the rituals done, I feel the raging positive energy in every nerve.
Once you get used to the early hours, you’ll transform yourself for sure.
Final Thoughts
I’ve changed my life with one single decision:
Win the early hours of the morning.
And I want you to do the same. I want to see you grow and become the highest version of yourself. Starting your day early sets you up for success.
