How Dynamic Meditation Can Be Used To Solve Problems In Your Life

In studying altered states of consciousness for the past 5 years, people’s biggest misconception is that meditation is mainly about quieting your mind or becoming relaxed to reduce stress.

Such tools like mindfulness have immense benefits, but sitting still and watching your breath presents a huge barrier to entry for many. And therein lies the problem: Most people only associate meditation with this inactive “boring” style — not realizing there’s a more powerful way to use your mind to create positive changes in your life.

Enter Dynamic Meditation

  • Dynamic meditation is about deliberately using your mind to solve problems.
  • Dynamic meditation operates under the principle that any problem you have is not a problem, instead, it is a project for you to solve. (And what a powerful attitude that is to have for life in general.)
  • Much like traditional meditation, dynamic meditation involves falling into deep states of relaxation but then using those states to tap into your subconscious mind to achieve a desired outcome.

Below is the simplest example of a dynamic meditation that you can use to solve any problem in your life.

The Mental Screen Technique

1. Get in a relaxed, meditative state of mind.

2. Call to mind a problem you have in your life right now.

3. Imagine a large, futuristic TV screen in front of you and slightly above you.

4. Raise your eyes slightly upward to look at the screen. This activates alpha waves in your brain to enhance the results.

5. See the current state of your problem on the TV screen and feel the associated unpleasant emotions for 1 min max.

6. Erase that scene. Imagine wiping that scene away with a giant eraser Tell yourself: “Enough is enough!”

7. Visualize a new scene in full color, and more vivid:

  • See in detail what you want to happen.
  • Feel the emotions: joy, excitement, accomplishment, etc.
  • Bring in all 5 senses (sounds, touch, etc.)
  • See people in your life benefitting from this.

8. End the session by saying: “Let this or something better happen.”

This barely scratches the surface of what can be achieved using dynamic meditation. Do this technique for a month, and you will be pleasantly surprised by what answers start to show up in your life.
