The immense challenges require much more than a little change. Massive changes sometimes are needed. How can you bring about such radical change at work and home?

Understanding how change happens is the first step to leading and implementing transformation.

No matter the size of the change, it always happens one step at a time. Transformation involves many small steps taken one after another and repeated routinely. But all change starts with a single step.

Lesson to Learn

Transformation is possible in nearly all situations. Change is often instantaneous. Sustaining change is the real challenge and makes it transformational.

Personal change is the kind of change that we have the most impact on.

Why? Because we can create change in so many ways by deciding to do so. Once we choose, then it involves nothing more than executing the change repeatedly. Building change routines into our lives can transform who we are and how we feel. Once mastered, this same process can be executed at the family, team, organization, and community level.

All real change involves personal choices and repeated actions. Once you get good at personal transformation, you can use the same tools to influence others to adopt change.

It all starts with the ability to transform my own life.

You can change the world if you know how change occurs and how you can help others get the changes they most want in their lives.

You don’t change others. That is not really how it happens. You encourage them to change themselves, which can be one of the best things you can do for another person!
