Picture this. You start, run, and grow a social media account. There’s nice growth, good engagement and you’ve even made some money from that social media page.

Then, life happens.

You no longer have time to run the social media page and your interest in it has evaporated.

What can you do?

Many people just walk away and the page stays dormant on the social network. But, there’s a better way…

Sell it!

How to easily sell your social media account

Yes, people sell social media accounts.

They are often included in website sales where a website owner who has built a branded business including social pages will include those social media accounts with the sale.

Pretty normal.

But, there are ways to sell your standalone social media account too!

While I don’t have personal experience with this, I have researched this topic quite a bit over the years.

Here’s where you can sell your social media accounts…

Where to sell your social media account

These 2 places are options for selling a social media account.

1. Fameswap

The first place to sell is Fameswap.

Fameswap

You can buy and sell social accounts for TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter. They also have a section of the site dedicated to buying/selling theme pages!

I personally tried Fameswap and I didn’t sell my social page successfully.

I gave it a month or so and while I had a few inquiries, it went unsold.

Part of me thinks I should’ve given it more time.

With other online sales I’ve done, it has taken up to 3 months for a sale to take place, so, if I would’ve given it enough time, maybe it would have sold, eventually.

2. Flippa

Flippa

I discovered that Flippa is an option for selling your social page just a few weeks ago.

Here are some of the sold listings…

Flippa

So, these 2 viable options are worth considering if you’re trying to sell your social page.

What other ways are available to sell your social media account?

Selling your social media account through networking or word of mouth is always an option.

For example, there may be communities on Reddit or Facebook groups where you can list and sell your social media account.

I’ve been made offers to buy my 5K+ member Facebook group from a contact I network with on Facebook, but, I declined.

It makes me think though, that this may be a good place to look for potential buyers, along with other social networks like IG perhaps or maybe even LinkedIn.

Onto You!
