How Did I Get My Start Into Writing?

Photo of Author as a Child

Special thanks to Trisha Faye for encouraging me to share my start into writing.

As a young child, I enjoyed creating new worlds with my vivid imagination:

This stemmed from watching TV, being read to, and life in general!

When I was alone as a child, I gravitated towards writing about and drawing illustrations of these new worlds.

Earlier on, I learned that I wasn’t the only writer in the family.

As a child, I was always intrigued by the typewriter that was set on display in my grandma’s home.

As I got older, my love for writing grew fonder:

I would write poems, song lyrics, and short stories in notebooks and diaries.

Writing has always been my safe space to connect with my feelings and transmute them into works of art.

I’ve always imagined myself writing a book and I would go on to author a collection of poems.

Technology has changed how I write. I’m sharing my writing with the “world.” I write what I’m divinely guided to write. I’m not limited when it comes to writing — I’m intrigued by all aspects of writing.

Special thanks to Trisha Faye for taking me down memory lane — Where my love for writing began.
