How Did I Get 4K Medium Followers?
Proven Tips to Get More medium Followers
On March 21st, 2021, I started writing on Medium. I didn’t even understand the basic ideas of writing an article at first. I had no idea what clapping and highlighting an article meant.
Thank you, God, for creating in me a natural curiosity that pushed me to engage myself in the medium. Over time, I read each writer’s story in-depth, attempting to understand their writing style and ideas.
Initially, publication editors refused to accept my stories, so I was compelled to self-publish. It was frustrating for me when my articles had relatively few views, even after months. Because I was unfamiliar with the platform and how to write for a reader, I still desired to increase my views and followers.
My articles appeared to be meaningless and lacking in information for readers. I had no idea how to use a headline analyzer, Grammarly, or other tools to make an article more attractive to readers. I spent a lot of time writing unproductive articles.
It was quite frustrating for me, so I decided to leave the medium; I was away for approximately a month from the medium.
One day I came into some medium writing groups while scrolling through Facebook. This was my turning point, Then promptly joined some of those groups and began spending time reading the ideas and experiences of new and top writers.
I learned the fundamentals of writing from here. The tools required to write an article, as well as which publications are suitable for specific topics. I resumed my medium journey from this point forward. To keep me motivated, I began reading hundreds of stories each week from the top and emerging authors.
I was able to write a story that would appeal to my audience after reading hundreds of stories. This was the first time my article received some attention; from there, I didn’t look back and continued to publish high-quality articles and build a large following.
I’ve now reached a total of 4000 followers. It was a difficult journey to get to this point. I did this via a lot of hard work and consistency. Thank you everybody for assisting me in achieving my goal! That’s the most rapid growth of any writing platform I’ve ever seen.
Thank you to everyone who has clicked the “follow” button because they have loved my articles. I am grateful to every one of you who has taken time out of your day to read my articles.
I truly hope that some of my articles have been helpful to you. I’m active and engaged in the Medium community, and I love exploring new and interesting content. Medium is a forum, and it’s encouraging to see that being engaged in it indicates that others are interested in your writing.
Here Are Some of The Most Important Lessons You Should Focus On
Write Regularly
What important is that you keep writing. Whenever You Feel Like It, Write. And then there’s the situation where you don’t. The more articles you publish, the more chances there are that someone will read them.
You can’t expect to grow a following if you don’t write on a routine basis. It can be challenging to come up with high-quality content ideas, but you should try. Your dedication will show how serious you are about your goal, and if you continually publish excellent content, your possibilities of obtaining followers will increase.
You must create content consistently. While writing a large number of posts enhances profits in the short term, continuous publishing allows the writer to develop a genuine fan base who is interested in their information and will become fans.
If you want to expand your Medium audience, you must start publishing daily.
Write For Your Audience
The readers should always be at the forefront of your mind when writing a piece of content. Even if it’s about the writer’s life, a blog should not read like a personal journal. Every time I publish a post, I think about what a reader will get out of it. It doesn’t become a practical takeaway — simply anything that feels good about reading the piece.
I’m writing to my audience even if I’m writing about myself. I’m aiming to educate, entertain, or advise the person on the other end of the line.
Use of Publications
Almost all of your articles should be submitted to the publications in your field, as a result of this, Your articles will be capable of reaching their complete network of followers. Getting your articles published in large publications like The Startup will reach over 500,000 people. Your follower count and engagement will increase as a result of this.
Use publications, particularly when you’re first starting on a platform. I don’t believe that everything needs to be published, but if you find one that you think would be a good fit, you should submit a post to it.
Having a piece published in a publication can occasionally result in a significant increase in readership. It’s usually a minor one. What’s more essential is that any newcomers you gain via the publication are individuals who would have never seen anything you’ve written elsewhere. As a result, publications are excellent providers of new followers, That is why I publish my articles in a different publication.
Responses
It’s essential to read and comment to other writers. Following your likes and comments, people are much more likely to look out for your content. Even if it’s only a paragraph or two expressing how much you appreciated the article and how much you admire their writing style. Those comments will go a long way towards helping you stand out from the crowd of people who have only left a few likes.
The like-for-like strategy has its advocates. They would essentially offer each article 50 likes in the hopes of receiving the same in return from other readers. This can sometimes work, but it dilutes the value of your likes. This is no longer relevant because Medium has changed its format, and your money now comes only from reads. As a result, I recommend being helpful with your likes and helping as many authors as possible.
