I live in Portugal and in Portugal, we speak Portuguese.

During school time we have the subject of English and I was always good at the language, I always had good grades and my parents had the facility to put me in an English school when I was a child.

English is the universal language and it is important that everyone knows how to speak it.

Now I know how to speak English and I understand everything they tell me! HAPPILY.

But living in a country where the mother tongue is not English, it’s easy for a person to lose the knack for not training the articulation of the language, so I decided to start buying books in English to read.

I’ve always seen series without subtitles but books are a new step!

Reading books in English can be beneficial because we train our reading, our articulation of words (if we read aloud), we train our comprehension and with the training, we start to read and understand what is written much more fluidly.

I had a period in my adolescence when I used an app on my cell phone where I read a lot of books and all of them in English.

I remember that my English at that time was much more fluent, hence the back to readings! Books are always important isn’t it and one more proof that they help us with everything we need! ❤️
